I actually just grabbed your post because it was close on my screen, and essentially was close enough to say what I wanted said. I really was more for the UF fan who. now I will say... it seems that a top 10 team this year just doesn't look as good as some have in the past.

I will say this....FireDanMullen (who I will refer to as FDM) is a good guy and gives his honest opinion. I have respect for him and for BigDgator of the Florida fans.

You guys have come a long way in a short tiem, and I think some people just need a little more convincing.

I think when it all shakes out the top 10 will be as strong as always. but right now Georgia and Alabama just seem to be way ahead of the pack. Alabama I always give the benefit of the doubt to. We will know more about Georgia after we play Auburn, Kentucky and Florida. Florida will be the big key.

Does this mean tank is getting worse?

A team with a good OL? Auburns OL has gotten better each week. I’m not sure they have given up a sack with Bo under center.

I haven't watched a lot of Auburn, admittedly, so I will bow to what you know about your OLine. I will say that Bo is extremely hard to sack because of his mobility, though. he is extremely quick, and tends to throw the ball away when he is about to be sacked....which is a good thing, but sometimes it looks like he is setting himself up for an interception or at best a Grounding call.

Has UGA played in a hostile environment this year? Surely not one like JHS will be Saturday

No. The most hostile was against Clemson and that was a 50/50 cut in fans. I know Jordan-Hare is a tough place to play.

Georgia is a bad matchup for the way Arkansas tries to play. They are built like Alabama early Saban, big at the LOS and all power football. Run and stop the run. Arkansas can't throw it well enough to back them off and that defense they play was just asking for what they got.

To play with them, you're going to have to put enough people at the LOS to force them to throw. They can be stopped, Clemson did it. Not everyone has their personnel up front but you have to commit to stop that run and take your chances.

When you have the ball, make the big boys run. Get the ball out on the perimeter make them pursue, establish the pass make them rush the passer and when they blitz make it hurt. Their big boys can run yes but big boys get tired running again and again. THEN you can run it.

Tank has played hurt the past two games …

Meanwhile our freshman is averaging over 10 yards a carry, so maybe try something else

Surely it won’t matter if y’all just whip us from the jump. If we can make it to halftime with it semi close it could be interesting but I’m not going to hold my breath.

That will be a huge key. Jump to a lead early and try to take the fans out of the game. Georgia has been starting fast so far this year, so I am hopeful. It's always a heated game, though, so I am looking forward to it.

If you want my honest opinion? I think we are hitting on all cylinders right now, and y'all are catching us at a bad time. I THINK we will win by 3 TDs. But Auburn tends to surprise me, so I am not sure.

I hope both teams play a good game and come out of it with no major injuries. I love watching Tank run. I was hoping we would get him. He's a really good player and tough as nails.

Actually no. We have been pass happy to the detriment of the run game this year....with the on exception being Arkansas. With Daniels hurt and Bennet playing loose with the football I think Kirby wanted to run the ball early. When we had a ton of success they stayed with it and wanted to see if Arkansas could stop the run game.

But if you check our other games this past year, I think you will find we passed a ton.

Pittman likely realized that UGA was going to take whatever the defense gave them. So if they stack the box, then UGA lights it up in the air and the score just keeps going higher and higher, and the game drags out longer and longer. Rushing 3 was Pittman's way of telling Kirby "let's just run this thing out".

There's no other logical explanation for why they stayed in that formation.

I hate to break it to you but Clemson played to take away the pass (much like Arkansas).

If you want to make Georgia score as little as possible... drop 7 and 8. Force us to run. With our defense, that is the best way to keep the score close (clemson knew this).

Attacking the perimeter is the dumbest thing you can do. We are the fastest team in football.
You can attack vertical. You can make our linebackers run. But dont make it a race to the sideline. You will not gain any yardage and lose the race.

Early (time zone ahead) road game in a big atmosphere. Hogs couldn't get our of their own way in the first qtr and things just went sideways.

Once down in that environment, they simply didn't have a leader or solid adjustment to correct course. And, the game got away from them.

UGA is obviously more talented and better across the board. But, I think Arky is much better than they played.

Too many make too much of single games. Context matters.

First road game. We kind of looked intimidated a bit. Georgia looked that good. It was very impressive tbh.

Another thing that jumps out at me about these stats is that Arkansas threw no interceptions. Given we were behind most of the game.. and given how good UGA's defense is.. how is it possible that we didn't a single interception the entire game?

This tells me we aren't aggressive enough in the passing game, we aren't willing to throw the ball into tight converge and are waiting for receivers to be Big12 open. This is something that we have to fix somehow. I don't want to see 4 or 5 interceptions on the stats.. but given the game conditions I would expect to at least see 1.

list these 15 teams.

I don’t have to. Arkansas hasn’t beaten anyone worth a shite and most teams currently ranked haven’t either. It’s literally all transitive property and subjective bullshite. A&M is literally one of the worst teams in the conference and Arkansas looked like they may have put up a decent game against UGA’s second team. That’s probably worth a top 25 ranking but not top 15. Again, rankings this early are garbage.

UGAs defensive front 7 makes it hard for a QB to find a rhythm. And when a QB does have some time, UGAs secondary is all over the WRs which results in some tight windows to try to hit and often times a coverage sack. UGA has had more coverage induced sacks in 5 games this year than they have had in the last 3 seasons combined.

We will find out as the season unfolds but Uga is legit. Size, speed, execution. I hope we can give them a game but we won’t score conventionally and a good chance we are held scoreless as well.

In the last couple of days down here in the tropics I've had a humpteen dozen fans of Big 10 and Big 12 teams gushing this same stuff to me about the Dogs. Scares the hell out of me. Now an honest-to-goodness AU guy comes along and sounds like Homer describing Diomedes and Ajax in The Illiad. Man, you terrify me.

The SEC east is just offensively challenged. Kentucky might as well be throwing the Shot Put down the field. They stink through the air, again. SC, Vandy, Even Florida is ground and pound this year. All playing into the teeth of the dawg defense.

The barn has struggled mightily through the air, even costing the WR coach his job. They still rank higher in passing yards than anyone Georgia has played or will play in the SEC, in the regular season. Let that sink in sports fans?
