They could have given $100,000 to 1200 deserving low income individuals, yet they choose an art school, which will add little to no value to the economy or country.
And those low income individuals would still be low income individuals within 3 years. The vast majority of poor people are poor because they can't manage money.

So, no, giving a few people free money is not going to stimulate the economy. An art school will boost our local economy. I don't give a frick about your economy.

That's a lot of money. The Waltons are incredibly wealthy. I like how much they give back to the community and the state.

The local economy is pretty fantastic, actually.

Walmart is doing fine, and has only just begun pushing online sales. Walmart already owns thousands of "distribution centers" for online sales nationwide, and is building "fulfillment centers" as we Rant.

Just got home and turned on the tv and saw on the nightly news that Walmart is teaming with Google to combat Amazon. Ruh roh Bezos.

Well that's a total load of shite. One is private charity, the other is taxation and redistribution.

bullshite. Most poor aren't poor BECAUSE they can't manage money. That's just dumb. That suggests that most of them had money and blew it. It just so happens that the skills to make money are remarkably similar to the skills necessary to manage money: discipline, fair amount of intelligence, work ethic. Many of us are blessed with all 3. Many are blessed with none.

F*** wal-mart. They are soulless parasites that squeeze blood from a turnip with their vendors and employees and don't give a damn who they f***. And as far as I'm concerned, it's not THEIR money because their bottom line profits are subsidized by the federal government having to provide Walmart's poorly paid employees with Medicaid, section 8, food stamps, etc...out of MY pocket.

What Arkansas needs to do, is to work with the local AHTD district, and have the art school paint the slope pavement on the bridges being built on I-49. That would look really cool driving through town.

I hate Walmart. But it's the only place to shop in Nwa. Harps is a damn joke in Fayetteville.

Going along with their contemporary art museum they're pairing with CB in Bentonville that will have working artists in it, and the culinary school in Bentonville along with the trail system and etc. etc. etc....

This area is poised to become a freaking powerhouse. As for people whining about spending on the arts,,, there's a reason they've changed STEM education to STEAM education and many now think a liberal arts degrees makes for the best entrepreneur. Left wing logical mathematical shite and computation is going to be automated and outsourced. Better start looking elsewhere for future economies. The "experiential" and service sector of the economy is going to grow More and more while production and manufacturing continues to shrink.
