Alter or not, my point stands. I was TDY at Lockheed in Greenville for a while and I was pretty dismayed by the Clemson fans. Of course, they have some great fans. But many reminded me of sidewalk Bama and Auburn fans…plus something else. I cannot describe it. Cultlike, yes, with a hardcore dash of ignorance and Pentecostal overtones.

They’d at least be physical. Say what you will about the man but those Tiger teams didn’t lay down for Alabama and if not for some of those LSU teams Bama would have gone unscathed.
