I would say it depends on the college. A&M cannot compete with the liberal arts college. Business college are both quite good but Mays is ahead of McCombs. Engineering is good at both.
UT Dallas is better than Mays, you freaks are delusional.

Texas A&M counts its medical research, $435M, UT does not count its medical schools, which combine for another $800M. The main reason is semi-legit in that ATM does most or all of its work at College Station, UT has two physically separate branches that comprise its medical & life sciences work.
UT Med is over a billion in research.

That’s still doesn’t make up for ut having so many assholes among its alumni and fanbase.

Yep, I think I left off the UT Health Science Center in SA.

I just read a report (hot off the press, so no link) from the Myass Institute which is widely respected as the best source of information in this field and they actually said A&M was not only the #1 public university in Texas but the #1 university in the world.
I believe the article was written by a journalist named Daniel Fagurelli fwiw.
Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
Both are great schools. What is really amazing is how much the schools actually work together behind the scenes along with Rice.

Mays is better than McCombs.
Accounting is better at TAMU.
I'm sure you can make an argument for a school, department, or degree here or there, but those two sure as hell aren't it.

lol @ Mays being better than McCombs.
But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter-- our kids ain't got much a shot at getting in these days anymore. Heck I couldn't get in again if I was graduating this year and applying...
could probably get into aTm though.

The numbers I gave were strictly for the Austin and BCS areas
System wide is a silly comparison because of the healthcare system that carries your name but is independent

You couldn't get in to A&M or Texas, which is why you went to LSU. Why are you even commenting on this?

Don’t they have the only vet program in the state, or does Tech have one as well?

UT Austin has the #1 Accounting school at McCombs…in the country.
Yep, has been for a long time. Ross (Michigan), Kelly (Indiana), Illinois, and Leventhal (USC) usually round out the rest of the top 5. Ohio State's pretty solid as well. Probably missing a couple, but those are generally somewhere at the top, year after year.
Most of McCombs' programs are in the Top 10. Undergrad overall is usually #5-7, business analytics is usually #3-10, finance is top 5, marketing is top 3, entrepreneurship #3-7, etc., etc.
That being said, Mays is better.

FYI to both UT and ATM - AU and bammer alums/fans chuckle daily at your supposed rivalry. You look more like snippy siblings to those of us who understand real hate and contempt.
I enjoy making fun of A&M but don’t hate them. I had many high school classmates that went there. Considered going myself, but visited Austin first and that was the end of the story. Both are great schools and I’d be proud to see my kids at either.

“only vet program in the state”
I believe there are only 32 vet schools in the US… some states have agreements with others..
years ago they decided to manage the number of vet schools in order to maintain the salary of graduates..

Tech has a vet school but it is located in Amarillo for some reason.
