The move doesn't really make sense because he'll likely be a backup at Ole Miss or TCU next year anyway which is where he could be at LSU if Nussmeier transfers out in the spring.
Seems like Howard either doesn't think Nuss is leaving or just wants a change of scenery.
Don't count Florida out either.

It seems like he didn’t want to wait his turn behind JD and Nuss. Not going to comment on his abilities because for all I know he could be a stud where he lands next. He looked the part in high school.
