He's going to have to emulate Coach O with the CEO approach. He needs to assemble a dynamite staff and let them do their jobs.

In all seriousness. You guys should be very concerned that this was the best you can do. You had a 2 month head start to snag Kiffin. i remember how pumped you guys were for Morris & Bert. I think this guy is actually worse. he has zero HC experience and zero NC experience. Yet you guys are supposed to compete with the big boys. The next person fired should be your AD.

Are you so far removed that you forget your coaching search and whiff?

BUT BUT YOU ARE LSU

Y’all really shouldn’t be laughing at other teams about coaching hires. I mean come on, Jimbo took the Aggies for a 75 million dollar ride and he’s the one that’s laughing when he goes home.

I could see a scenario where this ends up being a good thing for arkansas, but let’s not act like it isn’t a high risk-high reward hire

Had huge ties to the state and is willing to let his coordinators do their thing. Will pittman? Again this guy is known for huge OL guys in power run schemes. You already did that recently with bert.

Honestly, sounds like Arky is following the LSU-Orgeron plan, which is paying dividends.

Let’s wait and see the whole staff before we make judgments. Could be a good hire.

That's a great hire.

He's a great recruiter.
Players love him.
Coaches love him.

He's gonna be Arkansas's Ed O.

Doesn’t qualify you to be HC

Great recruiter

See above

They need someone who wants to do the exact opposite of everything Ark has done the last few years.

And Matt Luke loves Ole Miss.

You keep comparing Pittman to Orgeron and I think it’s important to look at the distinctions between these two. Let me begin:

1) Orgeron was an actual SEC head coach before becoming LSU’s head coach
2) Orgeron was a successful interim head coach at two major college football programs
3) LSU has resources that you do not and a recruiting base that you do not.

Thus, Sam Pittman is nothing like Coach O. And if you’re comparing it to 2005 Coach O... then I’ll pray for you.

That's the whole point. He needs to go the CEO route like Coach O. I'm just as interested in watching the staff hires.

What risk? We're back to back 2-10 (0-8) and fans are apathetic. There's no risk left.

Outside of recruiting base what resources does Arkansas not have?
They have the finances but will they use them is the question.

High risk
High reward

Yes. We have no choice in our program's current state. This is the best case scenario and I'm optimistic but wary.

Had a horrible record and got fired for Houston Nutt after going 0-8 in conference.
