Possible? Sure. Even Phat Phil thought so last season.
Probable? Nah. More like 8-4, maybe. And that would be a huge improvement...it would warrant a Malzahn-like contract extension.

Georgia St - ok
BYU - maybe
Chattanooga - ok
Florida - probably not
Bye - ok
Georgia - probably not
Mississippi St - maybe
Alabama - probably not
South Carolina - maybe
UAB - probably
Kentucky - probably
Bye - ok
Missouri - maybe
Vanderbilt - maybe
I'm thinking 8-4 is a lot more realistic, and would count 9-3 as a pretty good season for you guys. And even so, TN would have to come out on the top side of a lot of "maybe" arguments.
But hey, that's just me.
PS - there's no way I am going to kiss your wider than 12-1/2" Neyland Stadium seat size butt.

They have a coaching staff as good as anyone in America. But cool your jets. They have a good young nucleus of players but are about 2 classes and a year of development away. They'll beat somebody this year but 10-2...nah. Next year is a definite maybe. They are a poor man's South Carolina at this point.

I know this is a troll thread, but I wanted to take a look at UT's season any ways.
Georgia St - Win
BYU - Win (close, due to young O-line)
Chattanooga - Win
Florida - Loss
Georgia - Loss
Mississippi St - Loss (close)
Alabama - Loss
South Carolina - Win (close)
UAB - Win
Kentucky - Win (close)
Missouri - Loss
Vanderbilt - Win
Floor, 5-7
Ceiling, 9-3
Predicted
7-5
This includes 4 games that will be close and could go either way. UT will finally not be last in the SEC east for the third year in a row while getting over the Vandy hump this year. USC, UK, Missouri, and Miss St. are the swing games for the season. I have UT going 2-2 vs those four. I have you beating USC because the game is at Neyland and UK, because they lost a ton of star power from last years team.
Offense: Returns a lot of starters on offense, good WR group, seasoned QB in Guarantano, OC will call what the team does well. Young o-line with limited depth is cause for concern and causes the run game to continue to struggle.
Defense: Well coached, young but talented DB group anchored by Warrior. DL is starting over and will depend on Solomon is granted a waiver if they are just OK, or good. LB is expereinced but could get some depth and talent infusion if JJ Peterson gets healed and ready to play.
