Why are so many of the A&M posters on this board angry trolling douche bags?

I swear, every thread I read is hijacked by some douche canoe of A&M posters looking to piss in everyone's Cheerios.

Fine with him so far. Offensive and defensive schemes look suspect, but I think it's due to the offensive side not being able to execute and the defense being devoid of talent. Recruiting has been pretty good.

Anybody that watches UT or takes a look at the roster would realize there aren't many wins on that schedule, regardless of who's coaching.

I agree with what someone said about A&M..i swear they are a cult

Anyways, gotta give Butch time. He's only coached 5 games and he has already made improvements in:

Attitude Adjustments
No quitting
Weight training and stamina - conditioning
Discipline
Recruiting
Defense takeaways (this does not happen without hustle and being at the right position)
Palardy Kicking Game
Special Tms
Staff leadership
Walk on participation
Tm Mgt
Support from the previous players. He has embraced them and they have embraced him.
Academic improvement
Players character
Program Buzz rating
Purpose and Goals
Player Leadership

He is already making huge strides, but we just don't have the talent or speed to compete in the SEC at the moment. Any rational person can see that. I mean we got blown out by Oregon (#2 team on the road) but who didn't see that coming? The Florida game was dissappointing b/c we had the best chance we've had in a while, but still we just do not have a complete team yet. Patience.

the question is how patient will the fanbase be?... 2014 could look a whole lot like 2013, with the OL needing to be replaced and the talent-gap remaining.

Butch may be a good coach, and we know he's a good recruiter... but it's going to take time before they're back to competing for the division.

And as bad as it got at Alabama under those coaches, it never got as bad as it has gotten at Tennessee - and that's with major sanctions, too.

Bama Record:

2000 - 3-8 DuBose
2003 - 4-9 Shula

Tennessee hasn't ever had an 8 loss season, but don't let a little thing like facts get in your way.

Way too early to pass judgement on Butch.

The only fact we have is that the Vols are recruiting at our highest level since Fulmer was loafing around the sidelines. It remains to be seen if we can hold our current class together, we'll know a bit more come signing day.

Considering we have the most impatient fanbase in the nation...not very patient haha...were so tired of losing

-The Vols have played 14 true freshmen, 22 freshmen overall, and the first two touchdowns Saturday were by true freshmen.

-Tennessee is top ten nationally in fewest penalties and least penalty yardage, as well as interceptions and points off turnovers.

That last part is a complete turn around from last year. He's killing it recruiting. I'm encouraged by the defense, offense needs to start clicking more consistently though. I thought we gave ourself a chance to win every game outside of Oregon. If Worley starts from the first half of UF instead of Peterman nuking the game, I think it's a nail biter till the end. Not saying we win by any stretch but it's not a 31-17 end.

Every game outside of Alabama and possibly UGA, We'll play every team close whether it's a win or loss. Yeah, I am happy with what he's been able to do up to this point.

If Butch can continue to recruit at an elite SEC level the next couple years the fans will stay patient through a couple 5-7 or 6-6 type seasons.

The reason the fans really turned on Dooley is because not only was he a terrible coach, we could tell that we were getting abused on the recruiting trail as well.

One of the best things Butch has done was rebuilding the relationships between all the former letterman. We are having 150+ old players come back for the South Carolina game and they are all running through the T with the team. He has gotten Johnny Majors and Phillip Fulmer in the SAME ROOM, Fulmer has come back to practice to talk to the team, grades are higher than they've ever been at TN, not to mention the recruiting, the recruiting, the recruiting.

I would love for him to somehow navigate his way to a bowl this year. I think that would set him well on his way.

While we dawg fans appreciate the shout out from aTm fans. Please stop, you have no idea what you're talking about.

You can talk shite when your program has done half of what UTk has done. Sure they are down now, but they won't be forever.

With that said UTk

It really set Mizzou back a ton blowing Al Onofrio out as well as Warren Powers because we wanted to get back to the good Devine years and thinking history would help the new coaches out.

Both those coaches were given 6 years according to the internet. Al had a losing record and Warren had NCAA trouble.

That seems a far cry from a three year axe that is standard nowadays.

I don't consider firing Fulmer and Dooley a few years past their due as being impatient.

(Dooley was past his due when he signed his contract.)

Richt is going on 15 years without a MNC and 8 without an SEC title. Does not speak too highly of their program imo. He would have been fired already at any of the other big 6 schools including Tennessee.

I don't know what that guys problem is with Tennessee. His battered wife syndrome kicks in when he sees orange and UT in the same sentence
