Can confirm. Yurachek was in Memphis yesterday. Vitello was there as well under the guise of recruiting a player out of Collierville.

On one hand, this would be hilarious. On the other hand, I'm not ready to see DVH go.

Never say never when it comes to coaches. However when Arkansas swings and misses at Vitello will people make fun of them or is it only Tennessee if he left?

Y'all are paying him over 3 million a year to coach baseball. I don't think anyone would be surprised if he stays put.

Him leaving that salary after winning a natty and getting y'all to dump a bunch of money into future renovations would be absolutely hilarious, though.

I cannot wait for DVH to retire because Vitello turning you down is gonna be hilarious. Vitello has more trophies than your whole program. Why would he downgrade?

Yep, it would be the end of a pretty great era. I just hope he gets a ring before going off into the sunset.

I'll never forgive Carson Shaddy if he doesn't.

Let's carve into this just a bit, ok?
Would he turn us down? I mean, yes... He has the NC at a very inferior program overall. Tenner was a nothing prior to Vitello, so it isn't that he would leave a superior program, it is that the coach with incredible ability will go to a superior program. Tony Vitello is the Tennessee Program period. He would definitely upgrade as a program bro. You folks just aren't that special, without TV.... Thanks for posting!

That’s why LSU needs to pay Jay Johnson. Just think what this place would turn into if Aggie hired him next year after they shitcan Earley…

Do you even follow LSU baseball? Do you even have a clue about Jay Johnson? He’s never leaving LSU for another college job.

I can actually see this happening when DVH decides he’s done. Vitello at Arkansas is a dynamic marriage. As an LSU fan, I don’t want to see it happen as I believe he would be pure greatness there.

Jay will retire at LSU. He’s on record numerous occasions saying LSU is the only place he would have left ARIZONA for. Think about that. This is where he wants to be.

You’re not special at all. I would say you guys were Texas attitude with Mississippi States trophy case but Mississippi State has a trophy. You guys don’t. You have nothing.

He's getting a huge raise either way. I honestly think Jay Johnson retires from LSU. We're his last stop.

Unless some school throws stupid money at him. That goes for any coach.

You do realize who you’re dealing with, right?

Giving outrageous contracts is an LSU tradition. We’ve given Les miles and Ed orgeron generational wealth in buyouts. We gave Brian Kelly 100 million dollar contract. We paid Bo Pelini 7 million to leave the building. We gave matt McMahon 21 million guaranteed. We pay our women’s basketball coach 3 million a year

We love to light money on fire. No one is going to offer Jay Johnson more than LSU.
