Me either. I am an old guy at 50 who lost my best buddy in a car accident 27 years ago. He was a big time Bama fan and we watched football every weekend together. Now I think of all he missed dying at such a young age. Same here. She will miss a whole lot. Taking videos goes beyond my old comprehension. Then a website relaying the video...Geez. Life is really short.

There will be no trial. No defense attorney worth his salt puts the body of evidence gathered so far in front of a jury.

There will be a plea.

Henry Ruggs should be stripped naked and a cross painted on his chest and his back using that yellow Highway paint then he should be dropped off in the middle of Afghanistan. The radicals will do the rest.

Well the GF didn't or may have not even realized someone was in that other car. I suspect Ruggs is crying because he realizes someone is in that other car he hit.

Better question: Why is the cop standing there and not even making an attempt to grab a fire extinguisher or anything? Granted, I can't judge completely because we can't see what happened before the video. I hope he made some sort of attempt and then realized she was already burned alive before the camera started rolling.

That's a gasoline fire. Do you know how hot that would be? The lowest temperature that gasoline burns at is 495°F. The lowest. That fire is raging. It is closer to 1000°F in that vehicle. There is a good reason no one is approaching it.

What's he supposed to do? Dive into the flames head first to check out the inside fire that's burning even hotter? That fire is so hot he would be burned mercilessly before he even reached the actual flames. Get a fire extinguisher? Have you ever experienced any fire in your life? 50 fire extinguishers would have made zero difference. He wouldn't even be able to get close enough to the fire to even get the extinguisher to it because of the ambient heat.

I bet you're someone that think Cops should be abolished too, right? Yet you expect a human being to be burned alive trying with futility to save a corpse from burning longer? Some people....

That's it for me. So what he's unconscious, if he wouldn't of drove. Lives wouldn't of been ruined.

I didn’t watch it, but the description definitely shows a lack of remorse for a human being burning alive.

Prayers go out to the poor victims family. I feel so horrible for her. What a freaking waste of a human life.

Ruggs deserves to spend the remainder of his life in jail. Not only was he drunk but he is known for driving 100+ mph. This will hopefully come out in court so he gets the absolute maximum sentence.

A complete waste of lives and we should all take something away from this to consider within our own lives.

It's a devastating video.

I could not imagine being the family of either person... Tragic for both sides.

Maybe its time celebs act more like role models for our youth. You dont want to be recognized? Dont drive 156 mph in a residential zone. Get a chauffeur

Man, that video is infuriating. The level of selfishness there is beyond my comprehension.

Yes, that’s the question everyone should be asking here. This isn’t about Ruggs, it’s about wondering if an officer followed correct protocol. Geez, what an idiot.

What attempt would you make? Standing next to a bonfire makes it hot and difficult to breathe, much less a car on fire fueled by gasoline.

I think someone did try and use a fire extinguisher but it didn't work and by the time you would have found another one it would have been too late

Some on scene tried to help her but she was pinned inside the car, you need rescue equipment to unpin someone from the car like that and unfortunately time was not on her side

The girlfriend definitely should have shut her mouth under the circumstances, at that point, it was not about Ruggs or her

College football has now given kids 4 years less mature huge sums of money to go with the entitlement they grew up with ..

Da frick?

I believe she was saying that he had been knocked out, and honestly I have zero issue with her trying to get him medical assistance. That could be dangerous for him to not be treated. She imo is probably in shock as is he.

*again not condoning his actions, but I dont think she was being odd. I think she was worried about him and in shock.

** the dude saying "he is a raider" and laughing is a clown.

*** that fire looked incredibly hot. God I hope that lady didnt suffer long. I feel for her and her family so much

Yeah, I can't find it now, but I read something the other day where a witness said they heard screams from inside the car and several bystanders tried to pull the woman out. Obviously they were unsuccessful and had to back away as the heat from the fire grew too intense for them to continue their efforts to save her.

That is simply awful. That poor girl and her dog. I am sure her family is beyond devastated.

150+ mph and drunk. What an irresponsible jerk.
