LSU athletics has been basically break even the last few years, sometimes showing a small profit, sometimes a loss.
Now add on $20 million in profit sharing and $60 million in Kelly and Woodward buyouts and the future looks brutal. We are talking millions of chicken tenders.

That doesn't account for their coaching change. They are looking at a seismic jump in severance payments this year with the BK buyout.
A&M is still on the hook as well, but reduced that annual overhead with an initial $19.2MM payout and then a structured annual payment.
Depending on how the BK buyout is structured, LSU could have that "hickey" lasting for 5-6 years.
Kind of remarkable that the agents haven't incorporated interest on buyout clauses into these contracts. That could really cripple a school.

Alabama has a larger lead in the series than LSU has wins in the series. I think it pretty unlikely LSU wins 31 in a row considering they have only won 27 out of the 90 games played so far.
