Florida is more talented than both.

Texas got dominated against Florida. They exposed some weak points and those have seemed to get better (small sample size with only played OU since).

Texas is by no means back to those pre season expectations (I had them at 10-2 which is possible but unlikely), but they’re getting better. Keep growing each week and they’ll be a team to recon with in a month.

Oklahoma also played both Michigan and Auburn at home..

We played Florida on the road, and where the game is played seems to matter a whole lot more this year than in most years.. across the country, across all conferences

Dude, I love it! But I hope OU keeps BV for a few more years.

I think it’ll depend on how this season goes. If he chokes away the rest of the season, I’m willing to bet he’ll be asked to resign.

OU molested the big 12 before BV and they are just mad. That being said I think he’s gone, and I’ve heard Heupel is getting his phone call to come home.

Nah, BV is stepping down to Co-HC/DC and Heupel is gonna take the reins.

That's the thing with SEC play....even the perceived weak teams can hop up and kick your arse. You cannot let up.

Let me ask, not trolling..what is the real structure/ parameters with the OU AD in this matter? What is the real buyout number for BV if they move on before the end of the season (because of CFB now, you seem to need to get someone lined up to prevent a mass transfer out, save the HS recruits, get coaches, etc) ?

Who will/ is the New AD? Will Joe C make the possible hire? Or be on a committee?

Is Nagy in "charge" of the coach? Coaching hire? I'm in the weeds on his power...I think I understand his role..and I applauded when he was hired..thought of him as an asset...*if* he answers to the coach.

Is your NIL program where it needs to be, for your expectations?

My last question, in a worst case scenario that BV is fired..who is being whispered about to replace him? Who's on that list?

I don't know why Josh Heupel would leave Tennessee for Norman. He has a good thing going there. In Norman he would be under the gun to make the Sooners a whole lot better right away. I believe he won't even take the call let alone seriously consider taking the Oklahoma job.

agree.

He took OUs best that he could....but did not expect to have to play the big10 plus.

If he had balls he'd stayed at OK and fought like a man.

It’s 1-0 head to head.

It’s 1-1 in conference.

It’s 3-2 overall.

0-0 on controversial wins or wins considered fraudulent due to cheating and/or refball.

Why would Heupel go to OU? Not trolling, just wondering why he would leave Tennessee? It's going to be tougher than ever to recruit to OU in the NIL era, and Tennessee has some funding for NIL. Texas, Texas A&M, and even somewhat Texas Tech are pretty loaded with NIL deals and will lockdown the in state recruiting. I'm sure a few recruits will leave Texas, but the better players are gonna be looking for the big NIL money. Ohio State, Georgia, etc...

What is OU's NIL situation?

That poster is on some serious hopium. Venables needs to actually hire a Bona fide OC and maybe some assistants to generate some play designs. He’s always been a defensive minded guy. His best days may already be behind him from when he was at Clemson. Dabo is clearly not the same coach as when he had Skeletor to steal plays from the offense.

Can Oklahoma be great again? Sure but there’s a lot of big fish in a small pond now. They are getting the SEC money but they are damn sure gonna go through the gauntlet to earn it

And he has. Can't fire him this year, but lots of smoke that he's going to take the VaTech job if it's offered.
