If Auburn is guilty, they deserve to get their asses handed to them. That's just my opinion...
That said, I'll wait for someone who's name doesn't start with Vegas and end with snitch to put the nail in the coffin...

I addressed some of that in my blog I put up a little while ago. Tiger Prowl is not being investigated. Auburn reported a minor secondary violation. There is no chance of anything more than a secondary violation coming from that. No one at Auburn has been asked about Cam Newton in more than six months. The NCAA president has said at least three times there is no evidence of wrongdoing on Cam or Auburn's part. The NCAA has and will try to find out if there is any evidence that what the players on HBO said is true, just as they looked into the allegations involving Cam. Any serious NCAA investigation, one in which they have evidence of serious wrongdoing, starts with a preliminary letter of investigation. No such letter has been sent to Auburn.

I said earlier in the thread that I'll wait to see what happens. That said, if I was an Auburn fan, I'd be nervous. If this shite was happening at UF I'd be a little nervous knowing what just happened to USC.
Even if the NCAA came out and said "Nothing to see hear" with people outside of the circle of rivals (i.e. Vegas Insiders) saying stuff is going down, that's when I get nervous.
I could care less about radio personalities or rivals moderators because they get more people to listen by saying stupid things.
This guy doesn't have really anything to gain by saying it. It's outside of his influence (meaning people don't make money off of it) so he's just saying what he's hearing from other insiders.
Is he right? Not sure but it appears he's been pretty damn accurate before.
Again, I'll wait and see...

No offense, but this is EXACTLY what USC insiders were saying...

So was this thread just a big fricking joke? I was hoping the ATPBers would throw another celebratory party and start a thread entitled "As the Plains Rebuild.."
I need to hit up Blue Tuna on Twitter again..

None taken, but a tweat started all this crap.. As Auburn fans we have heard for months from ATPBers that the program is coming down... Philip is very connected within the program, so I will trust him over a stupid tweet...

Exactly. USCjr wants more than anything for their record-breaking beatdown to NOT be legit.

Any Auburn fan would be crazy not to be at least a little worried. It may not even end up having anything to do with Cam. They might never find any evidence. Auburn may have not even paid Cecil. But the problem is that once the NCAA starts sniffing around a program there's always a decent shot they'll find something.
If the NCAA started a general investigation of Alabama I'd just accept the fact that we were screwed (some booster who wants to be a part of the program will probably have done something stupid). And we're not even the SEC's all time leader in major violations.

quote:There are plenty of reasons to discredit anything PM writes, but USC analogies are not good ones. USC situation was much different. The NCAA had, from the beginning, clear proof of illegal benefits. USC thought the benefits couldn't be linked to the program and that they had done everything they could. The NCAA disagreed.

With AU, so far, there is not any proof of illegal benefits. There may be at some point, but I think the USC analogies are poor ones at this point.

let me rephrase it. I meant it more along the line that I'm laughing because I keep thinking this shite is done but it keeps popping up. Not at auburns dilemma. I won't laugh at that until I see something worth believing.

You better be a little worried because the NCAA is likely to look at Alabama. Are you sure the BC recruitment is over? How about the recruiting services (I think they are looking at a lot of programs including Auburn)? How about the 7 on 7 camps and Alabama's connection to the camps held on Alabama's campus in the past? How about the connection to North Carolina and Darius? Was he honest with the NCAA, first one trip, then two? TR is a name to remember with runners... They can still go back on the Ingram and Julio, because although they are eligible, we know that investigations are separate from eligibility. (See textbook case) Now do not ask for a link, this is all rumour and innuendo (In other words, similar to the crap we hear about Auburn)... So using that you should be worried...
