Vandy fans, who set that up? That is badass but totally a random opponent and venue. That will be a sweet roadtrip for y'all! More AD's need to get on the NFL venue ball for 1 game a year, that would be a great time for the players and fans alike.

Will be awesome for 14,000 fans in attendance.

Would be nice if the whole Vandy team and staff grew beards for that game.

UMass will be playing all their games in Gillette stadium I believe so the venue isn't really all that random.

I'd like this, I think. Actually, I'd just like to go to different areas of the country again. Now, any non-conference away game is pretty much Dallas or Atlanta.

Is UMass still on the FCS level?

Congrats aggys, Ms. State, and Mizzou you have a peer in Vandy who travels to their rent-a-win games.

FYI - Gillette Stadium is where UMass plays their home games now.

EDIT: Dang Roscoe! Beat me to it!

No, the truly random one is Kentucky and Western Kentucky going to a different state to play a non-conference game.

I think games in Baltimore, Washington DC, Philadelphia, NYC and other cities we don't get to go to for bowls or non-conference games would be really fun

Just the back half of a home and home.

UT played Vandy in Titans' stadium a couple times a while back (2000 & 02 I think).

It's good for recruiting. It's not like vandy is competing that great in SEC area

That's not a bad idea. Vanderbilt's stadium isn't big enough to host an instate game like that. It's different than WKU and UK going to LP Field

They are playing it in Nashville as a home game for WKU. In case you have never been in the area. Bowling Green (home of WKU) is just north of the TN line while Nashville is just south of it. The stadium in Nashville (69,143) is much bigger than WKU's own stadium (22,113) so it actually makes pretty good sense if they fill it.

Pretty sure last year was their first FBS year. Expect a 90 point Vandy victory.

I'll echo what Vandyrone said, but I really like the idea of playing in Gillette. I also would not be surprised about 14,000 fans. Lol. It'll be a unique experience!

Not that random. WKU's fan base is right in that area, and Nashville is home to a massive UK alumni chapter. Great venue that allows a lot more UK fans that live outside the population triangle to see their 'Cats.
