* Georgia’s punter is a weapon. Texas’s punter is not. What a difference that made.

* Carson Beck is not a good QB, but he didn’t play scared. Quinn is either still injured or in fear of reinjury. He looks identical to ‘22/‘23 Ewers post injury.

* Our offensive line didn’t play as bad as I thought. Quinn refused to navigate the pocket. Even in man situations where he had 20 yards of green.

* A lack of a big back hurt this game. In pass protection and tough yards.

* Kirby has a pretty simple game plan, he saw what we all have seen from Ewers. Georgia sat on intermediate routes. Edges got up field with no regard for maintaining contain. They left the middle of the field open all night. Safeties were playing close to the line.

* The Texas defense showed me something. They were placed in terrible positions all night and they held their own.

* Georgia was physical and well coached.

It’ll be interesting to see where we go from here. We could probably win the rest of our schedule playing the same clunky uninspired ball. We might even be able to win a playoff game. As soon as we run into a team with a similar caliber defense to Georgia, who can put up points, it’s over with. Your QB can’t be a statue and inaccurate over 15 yards.

I may be alone in this, but I think getting taken to the woodshed by Georgia at home is just what this team needed for a wakeup call.

Also (once again, just my opinion) I think we win a close game if Arch starts and plays the entire game. Beck and the Georgia receivers were out of sync, and although Georgia did better than anyone else at getting to Quinn, our O-line gave him time for the most part and he wasn't seeing the entire field like he was pre-injury. Having to respect the legs of Arch would have changed things a bit for Kirby's defense, and I think in the end we pull this one out.

Like you said, our defense did their job well enough to win...think Etienne was held to under 100 yds, but he did provide most of their scoring.

We desperately need our punter back. 25-30 yard punts handing the opponent a short field is part of what killed us Saturday, and will continue to if we don't find someone who can punt.

You forgot to mention how UGA d line ate the Texas o line and #11 was a one man wrecking ball because of it.

Ewers wasn't impressive and neither was manning. That could be because of comment above...

Losing by 15 points to a team with a retard "not good" quarterback they call Simple Jack is a bad look for Texas, the formerly ranked #1 team, at home.

Congrats on your first ever SEC loss as an SEC member, and congrats to Kirby for his 100th win as a head coach.

And I'm gonna post this for no particular reason-

There were definitely plays where they had some nice plays that confused the OL, but some of those sacks were QE not moving in the pocket when there was space to move.

Don’t worry, next time we’ll wear crimson and put an A on our helmet. That seems to work against Georgia.

We have not played UGA yet.

When we do, you can make your UT/UGA observations.

Observing that for some reason y’all struggle with that team is dick riding?

I expect Texas will get to play UGA again this season. Sark will have y’all diced up.

Your only hope is that our whole front seven gets injured because your Oline got beat the frick up.

I initially thought that as well. The more I see, the more it’s on Quinn. Yes they got beat up the first few drives, but after that it was more on Quinn not making reads or stepping up into the pocket. He did the line 0 favors.

Ole Miss and Tennessee will be able to neutralize the pass rush better because Nico & Dart both have a bunch of proven mobility on tape. We played a light box defensively most of the first half, it allowed Georgia to pop some runs, but it also resulted in easy take aways. I think Sark vastly underestimated Georgias defensive line. I think all SEC contests will be very competitive from here on out. The tape is out there.

Big 1st quarter moments:

Wisner dropped pass

UGA #6 left unaccounted for from CB blitz.

CB was left unaccounted for without any WR warning of a potential blitz to adjust protection. I could be wrong, but he was standing too far inside Wingo.

Overall, the oline played a great 1st quarter. But after that hit on Quinn he started playing scared.

Both Texas and UGA played solid defense, but it appeared like UGA was having great success when Texas was in zone with underneath passes until that interception.

Lmao. Lost in the Texas hubris is that Georgia played an absolute dogshit game on offense. “If Ewers would’ve moved two feet left instead of right he wouldah coulda-“

Georgia’s playcalling, QB, and receivers played like dogshit all night. Beck averaged 4 yards an attempt and had 3 Ints to 0 TDs. Texas fans acting like Georgia played an A+ Game and won by 2 scores in your house — Georgia played a C- arguably D+ game on offense and whooped your arse. “We will clean this up and Sark will dice y’all up” lmao. Georgia played like shite on offense and won with the refs trying their hardest to make it a game. You’ve played no one and announced yourselves as champs in week 7. Classic Texas. New conference same story. Cope.
