Happy we're not playing Cal but UCLA made quick work of them. It will be exciting. I like beating PAC teams

Yep, and that means that the two teams with the best overall SEC regular season records could not make it to Omaha. SC's 2000 team also failed.

It is so damn hard to keep up that level of play for that long....over time it is inevitable that a baseball team that plays so many 3 game series will lose one.
Unfortunately for Vandy they lost the worst possible series.

Scrappy, gritty teams win in the postseason. Not necessarily those with the most talent.
Post-season play is just so different from the regular season. Different mindset.

Hopefully state can come out swinging and finish this game quick today. I don't want to play a game 3 coming off of a comeback game for them.

Right.....but I think Vandy just had a weekend where they were average at the wrong wrong wrong time. That could easily have happened to LSU just like it did when we played USCe (although I think our average pitching would have kept us in games with OU TBH).

I find it interesting that Ms. State fans are not blaming UVA for causing the rain delay. The OU fans are blaming LSU for putting the tarp on the field & messing up their starting pitcher. That it was the NCAA who made the call, because there was lightening all around the area, seems to be completely over their heads. They seem to forget that at least their starting pitcher came back out. Eade's was done for the night. Good luck St, hope you make it to the bright lights of Omaha.
