It seems folks hate him there, too.

Another source said: "You can't freak out about preseason games and belittle your coaches -- on a staff you handpicked -- every time things don't go your way. It's not going to work here."
There are also some internal concerns about the personnel. Meyer does not have an NFL background and opted to put the franchise tag on tackle Cam Robinson and stick with the same offensive line unit that has had difficulty staying healthy and productive and is coming off a 1-15 season. Those results put them in position to select Trevor Lawrence first overall, but protecting him is paramount and the lack of urgency to upgrade that area surprised many around the league.

I mean he is one game in and they were 1-15…that said I don’t think his personality works in the league just like Saban and Spurrier. Some are built for the college game.

But how much would these same dirtbags praise him if Jacksonville had won their first game? I don't care much for Urban Meyer but I hate the media first and foremost.

One of the top 5 killer instinct coaches around, I’d be surprised if he doesn’t pan out but so far it doesn’t look good.

Sounds like stories about Mike Sherman as OC at the Texans, just destroying David Carr meetings.

The NFL is a good ol boys club. Anybody who tries to come in and do something different will catch hell.

Dude looks like a mess in that gif. I thought he was excellent as an analyst on Big Noon Kickoff or whatever it's called

Hopefully he has a heart attack in 2 yrs and he goes back to that show. I don't think he wants any part of the college game anymore because of NIL and other factors, but he also doesn't seem to have any idea how to manage an nfl roster.

Trevor Lawrence should in no way be starting right now. If feels like He's still drafting and playing and signing guys based on their high school recruiting stars... Not what they can do in the NFL.

Some coaches like Saban aren’t cut out to coach at the highest level of football. It’s not as easy to win when you have competitive balance.

He'll be fired after a few seasons and then replace Brian Kelly, who is retiring when his contract is up, at Notre Dame.

This seems plausible.

So you're saying that the same people who are criticizing him for losing would be praising him if he won instead?

What hypocrites!
