Historically LSU had a better chance on the road than at home vs bama. Believe we went 30+ years before breaking the cures of the bear at home.

Wow, LSU has been at the top of these rankings for weeks now. Truly the beginning of a dominant run that many feared. Only the beginning of year one

NB4 what’s your biggest win?

-Pshht bitch please. We’d be ranked top 5 in the country if we went for 4th and 1 to end UK game but then they’d suck too and we still wouldn’t have played anyone

Way more are just sitting back waiting on LSU and Kiffin to play another decent team to lose again. Especially after all the crap yall have been pumping this team up off of.

Total offense and total defense mean nothing. If you drive up and down the field, but get no points, your total offense will be high, but what does that matter? The idea is to score points. The telling statistic is "Scoring Offense and Scoring defense." Here are those stats.

I understand your overall point. Yes, many stats are different and more important/significant. (Scoring, YPP, turnovers, SOS, red zone, 3rd downs, etc etc). Regardless of the category, Stats are stats… They are what they are. all stats are factual/unbiased numbers.

However, To say total offense and total defense “mean nothing” is simply wrong, with all due respect.

Other than your “mean nothing” comment I generally do agree with your broader point. But you’re flat-out incorrect on total offense and total defense meaning nothing. I know you were likely exaggerating to make your broader point, but it’s a laughable opinion to say total offense and total defense doesn’t matter in football. lol

Only someone whose team doesn’t rank high in total offense or defense (yet maybe still finds different ways to wins game despite that) would even attempt to make the silly argument that total offense and total defense “mean nothing.”

Stats are fine, especially when they line up with wins and losses. When they don't they are pretty meaningless

Notre Dame should fall out of the top 10 with BYU.

It's getting near the time of year when it's worth giving the rankings attention. And this ND farce of landing at #4 after the BYU loss is ridiculous.

I hope Miami beats them and SMU finishes them off.

With the BYU loss (and BYU losing to UCF, notre dame is out if they lose to Miami
They won’t make the playoff with 2 losses and that schedule

All that said, I think Notre Dame may beat Miami

Does anyone want our O.C.?

We're only paying him 1.5 million. He's a steal!

The key stat not shown here is turnover margin. LSU is 87th nationally.

Of course turnover margin is one of if not THE most important things…

That said, playing devil’s advocate against your opinion (which I agree with btw)…. Maybe it’s not that important this particular year… LSU and some other teams are doing okay/fine if not really good despite turnovers and takeaways.

Why not do yards per play when yards per play is by far the more useful stat?

We simply just hang around. You try to get rid of us, but you can't. We're a bunch of fricking cursed yard gnomes that you can't shake off. Love it.

It’s in the OP. Sort the stats and categories however you prefer at the links.
