Auburn had paper classes long ago -- like decades ago. There was an NYT article I ran across one day about it and the professor gave no shits (his colleagues were, for the record, horrified by what he was doing and IIRC, Auburn eventually forced him to cut the number of hours he was teaching independent studies -- his hours/number of students were not possible in any honest way). I doubt they're doing anything that brazen nowadays, more likely any fraud is a bit more elegant and complex, but you never know.
