Bama now clinging to HS recruiting classes in the NIL era.

Deboer just needs more time to get his kind of players in the system.

...It's good to have optimism this time of year and it's good in general to be an optimistic person. But Bama fans are starting to show some eery similarities to Tennessee fans back in Tennessee's "Brick by Brick" era.

We went from 85 scholarships to 105. There is a reason the numbers of commits are up. Add the context.

True, the number of available scholarships did increase.

However, nothing is forcing teams to use all 105.

Alabama probably won't use all of them. Two of our portal additions so far aren't getting one. They are preferred walk-ons.

Georgia is ranked behind Bama in HS and portal commits/rankings. But tell me how that’s a good thing.

Kirby hasn’t won a playoff game in three years.

I thought there was a rule affecting walk ons now. But I’d have to go back and see.

High school recruiting classes are largely a non factor these days because they transfer by their sophomore or junior season.

alabama in particular has lost a lot more experienced talent out of the portal than they are bringing in. Auburn is in the same boat.

False. I think Alabama had 1 guy transfer out who was a DeBoer recruit and he was a 3 star who went to Vandy.

The majority of the other guys were players that were recruited under Saban and had been passed up on the depth chart. I think 1 or 2 might have been nice to keep around.

Horton was a transfer from DeBoer. He was good, but not worth the money he was asking. And then there was 1 other transfer guy, I don't know what his deal was.

And I don't know why people are acting like this is all finished, it's not.

I feel good about where we're headed man. Won the SEC 2 years in a row and finished #3 and #2 in the last two final CFP polls, even though those felt more like rebuilds. We'll probably start this next reason ranked #1 or #2 and 2026 is lookkng more like a vintage Kirby team.

Where will Alabama be ranked preseason?

Coming off of back to back titles, this is your definition of success? Preseason rankings matter more now and you’re using the final poll to avoid saying “we went one and done, even with a bye.”

This is why Kirby will never be Saban and why Georgia’s decline is real.

Well, when you have 9 - 5 star signees, in two years, I think that makes a huge difference. Bama has had a lot leave this year, but not as many as most teams including LSU. Almost all of our 5 stars out of high school have stayed. Most of our transfers, are players like Horton, Overton, etc.. that were already transfers and onto their 3rd or 4th program.

The one and done transfer in and transfer out will not last.

Alabama is #18 with 15 commits and an average of 88.23 LSU is #1 with 38 commits and an average of 88.09 What are you talking about? Again, quality over quantity

What is the average of LSU’s top 15 commits? Greater than or less than 88.23?

You would rather use the service that has LSU almost outside of the top ten because it has Alabama ranked lower

It’s On3. What service do you use?

So you’re saying you are signing twice as many bad or mediocre players? What are you saying?

HS is a non-factor for next year. LSU has the #1 portal class.

On 3 is crap. Our average in, is higher than 30’of the teams ahead of us. None of their rankings make sense.

Remember last week Dalton and the other Gumps saying On3 is the only site that matters. I remember.
