1 vs. 2 started in 1992. Several years before the BCS.

Are you sure Alabama didn't deserve a national title in 1941?

Chicken can go to hell as far as I'm concerned. 41 is bs but 66 is too.

Bama is still the best no matter how you put it

I've been a fan of the BCS. Why doesn't the Bowl Alliance count as well?
And the Bowl Coalition (1992-94) for that matter.

We know all LSU fans think football started in 2000...so I see where he's coming from.

Dear god how'd I just see this?

They didn't.

I'm pretty sure 1992 was pretty decided as to who was #1.

Same for UF in 1996

Except in 2000, 2001, and 2003.

PAC 10 and B10 weren't on board. In 98 all FBS schools came to agreement.

It should be perma-stickied.

1966 - Both Notre Dame and Michigan State ended the season 9-0-1. They tied each other in the last game of the season, 10-10. Neither played in a bowl game. Notre Dame was awarded the AP and UPI titles.
Who should have won this one?

And according to the Bowl Alliance, which is what both UF and FSU agreed to play under before the season, they were. System > AP.

I always knew Chicken was a closet Alabama fan.
Creates a system of determining champions that has Alabama winning 20% of all titles, more than twice as many titles any other team, and more titles in the last four years than any other team has in their entire futile histories.
I never thought anyone could make Alabama appear even more dominant than even the most homeristic Alabama fans believe them to be, but Chicken has proved me wrong.

Bowl Game. Then UF was declared national champs. Hell, this argument is silly. We might as well be arguing how CFB is the only NCAA sport that doesn't award an NCAA Champion. Hence the "BCS Trophy" etc.

FWIW LSU did not play the AP no.1 team in 2003.
Original post is dumb.

I know the LSU homers will follow you to e-hell, but you're not taking away 1980 from UGA.
