That what I posted was true regardless of what math you want to use. Thanks for showing us all how much it bothers you though.

How many national championships has Alabama won since this thread was created? Same number as LSU in the past 5 years if you count 2020*.
That’s not what I asked. This thread was created in 2013

I don't care what you asked.
I was pointing out recent history which most people care more about. As an A&M fan, I guess it is understandable that you prefer to latch on to 2010s Bama, though.

Bothered me so much I started a thread to dispute every claim against them.
Oh wait, that was a different fanbase.

You mean the way Alabama has twisted 9 or 10 legitimate national championships into 18...or 30...or however many it is y'all are claiming today.
quote:Exactly.
This. Always thought it would be funny to print a shirt with all of the claimed Bama titles along with their record and post season then wear it unironically and see how people react. Make it look like a real Bama shirt in crimson and red. All of the years when they have about 2 losses and/or a postseason loss and still somehow claim a title.
The one question they can never seem to answer. Why is it so important to them to make up more championships than they actually have won? Why can't they be happy with the 9 or 10 they actually have? The vast majority of Bama fans never went to school there, and have never even been to a live game. It boggles the mind that an entire fan base can be that insecure.

Good morning! How many new NCs did Bammer gain overnight?

At the time that they started claiming fake titles, they were very upset with the northern elite media preference of Notre Dame, Michigan etc. (bama posters here, will agree with that).
Where they lose it is when they read that Alabama …..well here, let me quote the guy himself:
quote:
"I tried to make Alabama football look the best it could look and just make it as great as it could possibly be," Atcheson said. "I was a competitor myself with the other schools, and what they bragged about and boasted about,."
That’s all you need to know.
It’s an amazing program that wants you to know how great it thinks it is.

Go ahead, and while you are at it, put the selector of the title.
AP- 1961, 1964-1965, 1978-1979, 1992, 2009, 2011-2012, 2015, 2017, 2020
UPI- 73
You can put the 5 before WWII on the shirt but make sure you put those selectors as well.

Would need to double check but I'd obviously also include 1925, 1926, 1930, 1934, 1941, 1945, 1966, 1975, 1977 - I aim to be as complete and inclusive as possible.

Alabama claims it has won national titles in 1925, 1926, 1930, 1934, 1941 (disagree with this one), 1961, 1964, 1965, 1973, 1978, 1979, 1992, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2020
61 and on are AP or UPI national titles, so no argument
25-26-30-34 Alabama won the Rose Bowl and was the national title winner based what they used in those years.
Bama does not claim 45-66-75-77 although the 66 team was the only unbeaten and untied team in the nation (it also was two-time defending NC)
