"Ears" Whitworth can put up a good fight for that title but there is very little doubt that Chad is easily on the Mt. Rushmore of lousiest SEC coaches of all time.

He's a HS football legend. Was an OC at Clemson, HC at SMU/ARK, and an OC again at AU. It isn't like he's small potatoes at actually coaching. He just hates recruiting from what I've been told.
And I bet Riley lets his son go now ... OU lives off of Allen and the DFW schools

How is it a fall from grace? Allen just secured a good CFB offensive coordinator, and a Texas HS football coaching legend. I bet Morris kills it there. He loves coaching high school, and has somewhere near $20M in the bank

If he hates recruiting, this job will be better for him. As you said, he has his financial nut squared away. If he stays at Allen for 3 years, he will retire with at least 150K a year TRS pension. Unless, Biden makes the dollar worth less than toilet paper, he is set.

It's definitely good for A&M that Chad is at Allen. We've had some issues in the past getting kids out of that school. And Allen is arguably the best HS gig in the state of Texas

Allen has 87 returning seniors, 140 returning juniors. There are some issues with the wrong people running their mouths in town. For one, a high administrator's spouse. Their stadium is nice, some others around are just as nice. It is what's underneath the stands that make it special. The former coach and AD had enough of the politics. Good luck to Chad.
