Is it the UA’s job to take reasonable steps to ensure they aren’t fielding a team with a player that facilitated a murder? Great question. I’ll defer to them on that.

They’re asking for it.

Brandon Miller is in all likelihood, a thug. Occam’s razor suggests he is not a choir boy in all this. BUT…the trash fanbase will defend him. Not only that, the trash fanbase will brag.

He hangs out with murderers

Did he even call the cops after the shooting? What makes you think he’s a choir boy?

Surely you didn't say this with a straight face. This board is nothing but BIAS. What do you think the last sentence in his statement means? That is, if you have read it.

So he's bringing a firearm to someone in the middle of the night to defend themself from what? A female? He couldn't just leave the bad situation and get away from it without use of a firearm? The female he shot had a firearm and tried to shoot Miles?

This is all bullshite, Miller knew what he was bringing the gun to Miles for, and if he pleads innocence put his arse on a poligraph. Nothing to hide right?

If you don’t have bias, it is very clear after the lawyers statement yesterday that Miller did read the text and did know a gun was in the car

I would like you to try and explain to me why the lawyer would not outfight say he didn’t know a gun was in his car, or say he didn’t read the text if either of those statements were true

He's either a shitty lawyer or Miller read the text and knew about the gun.

But he isn’t a shitty lawyer. He knew and purposefully said “Brandon never saw or handled the gun” because he knows how biased Alabama recipients would use that.

It’s been 48 hours since UA says they found out about the text. We are still waiting to hear when Brandon Miller read the text and whether UA has even looked into this question.

I'll get right on that. Should have a statement from him sometimes in the future.

Or maybe they’ve asked but don’t give a damn if username Jon Ham knows the answer.

Likely Possibilities:

They haven’t even asked, or
They asked but got no answer.

If they asked and got a “good” answer, we’d all probably know by now. If the answer to the question is a “not good” one, Miller’s attorney would not allow an answer.

So most likely either they haven’t even asked or they did ask and received a refusal to answer. Either way it doesn’t look good

Where in the statement is this? The last sentence of the statement leads me to believe, he either didn't know the gun was in the backseat or he didn't read the text. "Moreover, he had no knowledge of any intent to use any weapon." If he had read the text then he would have knowledge that Miles wanted the gun for a reason. So either the lawyer is lying, or Miller didn't know the gun was in the back seat or that Miles needed it.

Not trying to be rude, but you have horrific reading comprehension

Nothing in the lawyers statement at all points to your interpretation

It’s another statement that may be technically true but is intended to paint the client in the most favorable way without being the most accurate representation of what happened.

It’s easy to say Miller couldn’t read the minds of the others involved. Does that fact negate any and all culpability he could have in this situation?

If he read the text, he would know Miles wanted his gun for a reason. That would show he had knowledge that Miles intended to use it. Otherwise why would Miles even text him to bring it. You can't parse the two.

This is woefully incorrect

You can read the text Miles sent, and still not think he was going to use the gun, much less use it for murder

His text did not say “I need my gun to kill someone”.

A defense attorney can easily say “yeah he read the text but he didn’t KNOW others actually intended on using the weapon.”

So you believe Miller is innocent. Good to hear. Now tell your brethren. Because everybody on this site said if Miller read the text then he knew Miles needed his gun for a reason. And that reason was to shoot someone. So the theory of Miles wanting his gun for protection is viable. Or he intended to use it to shoot someone. Otherwise why the text?
