So U of A, why are you not asking Miller to confirm whether he read the text?

Why? Who are you to ask this from the University?

It's within the system of the phone.

To my knowledge, the metadata will not show whether Miller read the message in a preview text on the Lock Screen, so even if the metadata shows he didn’t open the message but he does get preview texts, only his testimony could confirm or deny whether he read the message.

Why should anyone have to ask? Why aren’t they just doing their job?

Sounds like they have. You just don't like the result.

Like I said earlier, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he had seen it. But I think it matters if he saw it as he was pulling up to the scene versus immediately when it was sent and proceeded to drop whatever he was doing to drive over there. For criminal purposes anyway. As far as Bama's punishment, I think they fumbled the bag not suspending him short term to gather info

Find the Greg Byrne interview yourself. You're a big boy. Likely a really big boy.

I agree. If he didn’t read the text until a few seconds before delivery that’s one thing, if he read it 5 minutes before delivery that’s another.

"Brandon was already on his way to pick up Darius when he received a text message from him that was reported in the media yesterday. I didn't know that yesterday, I found that out (Wednesday). He received text messages from Darius over the course of an hour to come pick him up. The text message released (Tuesday) was when Brandon was going to pick him up, and was already almost there."

What is up with this obsession of Bama people constantly mentioning he was “almost there” and “was already there”. Their AD and fans are constantly bringing that up. Does Brandon Miller’s phone cut off when he’s almost to his destination or something? Byrne says it twice in this quote alone

Even if he read the text he could always go with the "I don't speak jive" defense.

College kids are glued to their phone while driving. Whether it be to text or to play music. The idea that Miller put his phone away while going to pick someone up in the middle of the night is hilarious. If I’m picking someone up, I’m pretty sure I’m noticing if my phone buzzes incase the pickup location changes or anything.

What if BM was headed to pick Miles up after dinner anyway?

I'm pretty sure that was the plan all along.

Based on what?

They have been cooperating with police since the day of the incident.

You're just slinging shite on the wall with no clue as to what has and hasn't been asked of Miller by anyone.

According to his attorney, Miller willingly gave the police his phone and his dash cam footage. They absolutely know when he saw the text message.

If he didn't read the text how did he know to bring the gun?

Receiving that text changes the situation. It goes from “picking up my friend” to “delivering a gun to someone where there’s objective reason to believe it could use it in the commission of a crime.”

I don't think many of y'all know many college kids these days. People have been putting the fear of God into kids about texting and driving for over a decade now. My teenage driver is scared to death of it.

Example of the level of stupidity from the people in this forum.

He gave Darius Miles and Davis a ride to the club and they left the gun in the back if his car.

He then went to pick them up from the club and they took the gun out.

How is this so hard to understand? Especially from guys who love to call athletes stupid and dumb?

I would argue this still wouldn't be the case if he didn't know the gun was even in his car.

of course he did. to think he didn't know why he was giving the guy his gun at 1:30am is nonsense.
