6 QB room.
So add Vandagriff and Stockton to the equation.

Are you sure it's based on room and not starting unit?
(Admit I did not pay a whole lot of attention)
Even so, they have less experience than Beck. The only thing they can be basing this on is recruiting rankings.

ETA
I went to On3 and couldn't find the article to get clarification. I get that it says units, but that does not necessarily mean room. It could, though.

Bama at #2 in RB while Texas isn't ranked is a joke. Neither of us have returning players, but our RB room has just as much raw talent as theirs.

We just had a RB go 8th overall and another RB drafted in the 4th round. Our RB coach is also responsible for another 1st round RB in Jahmyr Gibbs.

I don't mind us being unranked since we don't have a returning starter, but Bama at #2 is a travesty.

Well Bama does have a pretty solid streak of producing absolute studs.

Eta I need some mouthwash

Doesn't Bama have all their backs after Gibbs returning, where Texas lost both Robinson and Johnson? If I'm not mistaken Bama has 3 backs returning who had more yards last year than Texas' leading returning rusher.

Four if you think of Milroe as a RB... which he kind of is.

mean nobody, think UGA’s starter will be a top 10 qb this year

There is a very good chance he will be. Just like Bennett was.

Beck played a good bit last year against some teams that weren't cupcakes.

He played very well in those opportunities.

Oregon (#15) 5-6 for 83 yards and a TD. 1 rush for 4 yards. 237 passer rating.
SC (#23) 5-6 for 51 yards and a TD. 2 rushes for 25 yards. 215 passer rating
TCU (#2) 2-3 for 31 yards. 153 passer rating.

That's a lot better than a lot of returning QB's have done against ranked opponents.

Overall he was 26-35 (74%) for 310 yards, 4 TD and 0 INT and had 7 rushes for 43 yards. About half of that came against ranked opponents. It's limited data, but it's also very positive results.

I think he will be a top 10 QB next year. I'd guess that once he's named the starter (He's fighting off Brock Vandagriff), he'll end up in the top 10 or 15 of heisman odds.

UGA is the #1 OL, they are a top 5 DL but can’t verify they are #1. They have a top 3 LB core and secondary. The wide receivers are top 20..prob not top 10. They have the best TE, and I think Carson Beck will be fine but he’s not a proven top 15 QB. We’ll see.

Any knowledgeable fan would, so we know who won’t think so.

Alabama returns 3 running backs that had 200 carries, 1,128 yards and 13 TDs last year (plus 200+ yards receiving and 3 more TDs).

And adds the #2 and #4 backs in the country to that mix.

Sigh, the insanity continues.

Beck has a lot to prove.

He has to protect the ball better (3 fumbles in about 25 carries).
He has to learn to move on after a bad play.

And UGA wants him to be efficient like Stetson was on 3rd down and in the red zone 2022 (stetson wasn't that efficient in those areas of 2021. It is a big ask for a first year starter).

But you seem to dismiss all of the tangibles by Carson.

UGA is going to push the ball downfield more. We've got weapons outside and at the slot to press vertically this season. And that will open up for the tight ends and middle of the field.

I meant starters, I edited my post to clarify but didn't remove that.

I'm not exactly putting a gigantic amount of stock into returning players yardage that aren't going to start anyways. If we had a shittier #2 back, we'd have had more returning production too

We add the #1 back in the country to our room who probably isn't even good enough to start, unlike with Haynes in the weaker Alabama RB room.

Thanks Korean! It doesn't clearly say if they are talking about the room or the starting units, so I tend to think they are talking about the room.

Aren’t you the same one who said Stetson wouldn’t throw for 4,000 yards? Or am I mistaken?
