ULTIMATE LSU-BAMA Rematch Discussion Thread (ALL POSTS HERE)

Now on to our OP:
Nobody is afraid of playing Bama again. We just think it's bullshite that we came to your house and won (obviously only barely, but a win is a win). As a result, you guys get an easier path to the NCG?
However, given the events of this weekend, there's no real debate about #1 vs. #2. All other teams with a valid argument shite themselves.
So, fair or not, we will have to play the SECCG and beat Bama twice in order to get the crystal.
LSU fans need to STFU about this because it is what it is. The BCS pairs up #1 and #2. Future upsets notwithstanding, it is very clear. Good luck and be prepared to have your manhood taken twice.

I've accepted it as well. Bama just has to be happy with their 1/2 of a NC if they somehow manage to squeak out a win. Because in NO WAY can you say that a close win over a 13-1 LSU should warrant an outright 12-1 (non conference champ) Bama a full NC.

Just like we told USC in '03 and UGA in '07, we all signed up for the system. If the system spits out LSU-Bama and Bama wins, they are the national champs. There's no asterisk in my opinion.
Same goes if we lose to Arkansas on Friday and the system spits out: Arkansas, Bama, LSU. We do not go to the SECCG AND we probably end up in Orlando. I don't think that's the way it plays out, but it's possible,

Regards, and if it's any consolation, I would gladly have Bama and LSU switch places and have a shot at Ga. and another SEC Championship. It is what it is though.

You won to get an opportunity to win the SEC championship. The BCS doesn't try to figure out conference championships. LSU fans can keep thinking they beat Alabama for no reason. Just proves y'all aren't a bright fanbase. And OP that wasn't directed at you.

I have always accepted the system. Prior to this weekend, I thought the system would favor one of the other conference champions. The only semblance of an argument left is Okie St and Virginia Tech. I would have no problem putting Bama ahead of both of them if I had a vote though.

I've always thought the BCS/crystal thing was a ton of shite. I recognize a split NC in 03-04. A NC is a NC, no need to get in a cock measuring contest. If Bama wins a close rematch splitting it is by far the most accurate final outcome.

As shitty as it may be, it's the rules these schools all agreed to. The BCS. I f'king hate it and agree it really isn't objectively fair, but in a subjective sense it is the current system.

fwiw, I would have no beef if the the AP crowned Lsu if Bama had a narrow win. Having said that, if it happens, ignore my posts, as I will be having fun with the tards.

Maybe one of most nonsensical statements I've ever seen on this board. If Bama were to win in a rematch, it would be a bitter-sweet victory knowing it would spawn decades of incessant LSU kvetching about the unfairness of life.

LSU-BAMA rematch should break the BCS. they already despise the fact the sec has won 5 straight NC's. LSU-BAMA GUARANTEES a 6th straight. MAJOR changes will be made after this year if the rematch happens. can't really blame them.
i prefer a NFl style playoff..or
make teams have to win your conference to play in the BCSNCG.
and.....i prefer conference champions who played in a CCG over those who do not. pac 12 and big 10 finally have them like the ACC and SEC but not the old big 12.
