Great move by Mitchell! As a Mizzou fan, I hate losing him, but I can’t fault the kid for making the business decision. Let’s be honest—he’s a bit of a tweener when it comes to the NBA, so you take the money when the opportunity is sitting right there.
If Kentucky can offer significantly more NIL money than Mizzou, you can’t blame the guy for taking the bag. This is college sports in 2026. Secure the bag, bet on yourself, and make the most of the opportunity. Good for him! I’ll always root for the kid—just wish he was doing it in black and gold! ????
