Saban already left so that argument was quick, at least Kirby has moved on with all the changes instead of taking the easy way out......

Congrats on UTs best season since 1998, I guess you guys are experts on declining programs......

Losing Monken was a huge blow. But also losing guys like Ladd the Honkey and Bowers. Those guys don’t grow on trees every year. And never mind about the defense. It was bound to happen when you lose NFL all world defenders.

Who would have been the top dog a few years ago had Saban retired earlier? Dabo Swinney. Now look at him. Is anyone even arguing him as a top 5 head coach right now?

Aside from the death of Dabo's program being exaggerated, you're making a large assumption that UGA would take the exact same path. Heck, you could've said the same thing about Nick Saban when Bama went 10-3 in 2010. I don't think Kirby is going to go on the same run, but I'm just pointing out how large your assumption is.

Even at the pinnacle they had to get a do-over one year and didn't play them the next. Now what has he done after? There has been a decline each year since.
I'm sorry 2022 Bama was too shitty to make the SECCG, but the only people who ever seem to care are people looking to shittalk UGA. That horse has been well beaten, we went 15-0 & even won a shootout against a team with an equally talented roster.

As far as a decline, Kirby made the NCG in 2017 and declined a bit in 2018-2020, before rising in 2021 and peaking in 2022. This year's team declined so much that they won the SECCG, went 4-1 against playoff teams & whipped Tennessee for the 8th straight time. All with a mile long injury list & Mike Bobo calling plays. And what's preventing UGA from rising up again??

And he can still be the best coach in CFB and not be as good as you think he is. I think he is the best coach currently, but my point earlier was that its a very weak crop to choose from right now.

I feel like you're quibbling over a nothing burger here. Nobody thinks Kirby is in Saban/Bear land yet. But he's got 2 natties and won 34-3 this year against the only other active coach with 2 natties. He's earned the title. If you want to argue that he's a head above the field instead of head and shoulders, go for it. But it's splitting hairs imo & not worth a deep argument for the above reasons.

Cherry picking to the extreme.

The UGA senior class is 52-5 over four years..

2 National Championships

2 SEC Championships.

You care to cherry pick your Rocky Flops over the past two decades in comparison?

I'll wait...

I'm not assuming anything. I'm saying what we know so far is that they are taking the same path. It doesn't mean they will take the same path going forward. But thus far it is very similar.

Tennessee wasn't very good this year but congrats

Actually my original point was that Kirby is overrated as a gameday coach and 'developer of talent', and it devolved from there into this because dawg fans can't stay on subject.

The decline started with the street racing deaths being treated like it wasn’t a big deal.

I find that hard to believe With all the national championship and history that Alabama has there is no reason they can't compete with with othe NIL. Granted there will be an an adjustment in the future...what happens if Michigan QB is a bust or has a huge injury? They are going to put limits on players pay your not going to make more than NFL players. You don't have to have a $20 million dollar roster, but you do have to have a QB, Bama fans will pony up $ so will Georgia this is just an adjustment period.
