Hearing he was the most talented back on the roster overall and slated to be RB1.

Probably not RB1. I am thinking Daijun Edwards fills that role along with Kendall Milton. (Milton is dinged up, too, and has been hampered by injuries since he came here) Our RBs are dinged up a bit, but there is a lot of talent, too.

We do have Andrew Paul who is recovering from a season ending injury last year, but was catching the coaches heads before the injury.

Also have Roderick Robinson (6'1" 230) that I am really anxious to see play.

And a walk on (I think) Cash Jones that the coaches have been praising.

Concerning? Yes. never ideal to lose players before the season starts, but we have good depth, so I think we should be ok.

LSU alter.

We do talk about last seasons SECCG, too.

But you were a shining beacon of levelheadedness when you said this:
Haven't you heard, the mutts are so much better than the rest of us that they don't need running backs or any players for that matter. They will just roll their helmets on the field and get the win.

There was nothing vulgar or mean about my post, just stating the fact that there are literally people that believe the mutts are that much better than everyone else. Then a typical mutt fan jumps right in talking shite. Some people have very thin skins.

I’d stick Bowers at tailback and run the ball with him like how the Patriots used Hernandez sometimes…

Yeah that’s not what you did. Lol you inferred that UGA Fans believe that we don’t need a RB and could roll helmets on the field and get a win.

You sounded like a puss and got called on it.

Bowers actually was a RB a lot through high school. Im guessing you will still see a steady diet of jet sweeps with him, especially as he would also make a good extra blocker and almost certainly keep at least one LBer and/or S focused on him on play action.

I’d get creative with Bowers. He’s a complete mismatch and has talent and speed to carry the ball. Not like I would give him 15+ Carries a game. But I’d utilize him in a variety of ways, including tailback and giving him some touches there’s.

Next man up. Unlike some SEC teams (cough, cough Bama cough, cough), we don’t make excuses about injuries.

Losing Branson Robinson, by himself, isn't a big deal. It's when Milton inevitably gets injured, and I assure you he will, and everyone else starts getting dinged as the season progresses, that losing Robinson becomes a big deal. Definitely not a nothing-burger, he was absolutely expected to be a big contributor this year, if not eventually take the starting job.

Well what you are hearing , about being the best back is incorrect. Talented for sure…. Kendall Milton is they Edwards are the 1& 2.
Last year we didn’t have 1 back go over 830 yrds or avg more than 10 atts per game. However 4 backs combined for 2500+ yrds.

I think we’ll be fine!

I think this is fair. Branson was definitely expected to contribute a lot and is a loss no matter how you slice it.

How big of a loss is what remains to be seen

Oh...yeah...it was a spelling error and NOT me taking a jab at the jort-wearing, homofied UF fanbase.

Thank you. I had heard that about Milton before. I think that’s a completely reasonable way to look at it. UGA has had a hell of a stable for a long time
