I'm not saying they're on the same level but ya boy acted like Richt was coaching scrubs the way he responded.

Mark Richt was a very good coach and recruiter. But the reality is there is a significant difference in talent. The problem is people look at class rank rather than the points, and when you get toward the top of the rankings the difference in points between rankings is much bigger than you think.

Richt's last 4 classes:

2012 - 9th (273 points)
2013 - 12th (260 points)
2014 - 8th (273 points)
2015 - 6th (282 points)

2016 (transition class. Half Richt, half Smart) - 6th (281 points)

Smart's first 4 full classes.

2017 - 3rd (301 points)
2018 - 1st (323 points)
2019 - 2nd (309 points)
2020 - 1st (313 points)

That's an average of 9th rated class for Richt compared to 2nd for Smart. That's only 7 spots different, so no big deal right?

But it's 39 points per class different on average. (272 for Richt, 311 for Smart).

39 points is pretty huge. That's like 3 more 5-stars in your class. And when you expand it over 4 seasons, it's more like 10-15 extra 5-stars.

It's a bell curve. Richt was near the right hand side for recruiting. Smart is all the way on the right. And when you move toward the edges of the bell curve, the differences are quite large.

He is good, but played 1 regular season game last year and then the playoffs

Have you seen the GA WR room with addition of Lovett and RaRa? Those two receivers equal more production than Adonai by far

He could go to Bammer and be part of a murder and not get charged.

whats the difference between handing the gun to someone to murder someone and

getting your drunk buddy to get in his car to race you late at night.

Both led to death, both were stupid, and both the person alive is partially responsible. at the worst, they could have prevented it

Richt's problem was that he never recruited depth on the lines. We would have one or two guys go down with injury on the offensive line every year that would kill us. The talent on the backups just wasn't there. That's not the case with Kirby. The backups are almost as good as the starters.

Both are awful, but one is intentional with the sole purpose to cause harm to someone and the other is just poor decision making that led to an accident.

I agree though. It's terrible in both cases.

Weak arse bullshite. Georgia will be just fine. Same as the overhyped squalling about A&M. Of the 19 so called 4/5 stars A&M transfers, only about 4 transferred to roughly equal competitive programs. Two of those were disciplinary problem children. If they were truly as good as their ranking they would have been picked up by the elite programs. The fact is most are over ranked egotistical high school kids, they are not willing to put in the work and expect to start from day one. The overwhelming majority will not pan out.

Doesn't really seem to be true, the majority of them transferred to programs equal or better than A&M as did most of the 3 stars.

Lol..Sidewalk…dear child…you really should learn to actually know something before exposing your lack of knowledge publicly. Here’s the transfer list: it may have changed slightly, but overall it’s set.
Offense:
Haynes King-Georgia Tech
Eli Stowers-New Mexico State.
Both QBs unlikely to ever start at A&M again, due too piss poor performances.
L.J. Johnson-SMU
Chris Marshall-Ole Miss- two disciplinary suspensions at A&M
Yulieth Brown-Tulane
Devon Prece-Appalachian State
Blake Smith-OU…was waaay down the TE depth chart at A&M
PJ. Williams-SMU- suspended at A&M
Def
Anthony Lucas-USC
Tumeis- Michigan State
Marcus Burris-Indiana
Elijah Jeudy-Nebraska
Ish Harris- University of Houston-suspended
Andre White- Ga Tech
Tarisn Lee- Ga Southern
Denver Harris-LSU- multiple suspensions
Groves Killebrew-Louisville
Smoke Bouie- Georgia
Jones-Duke
Brian George’s- Houston
Josh smoker- Marshall (lol)
Caden Davis-Oke Miss- kicker, way down depth chart at A&M

Of the 22 players that kicked your arse in the LSU game not ONE entered the portal. (That may have changed by one or two players, only.) Only two players that were not disciplinary problems actually transferred to competitive programs. Lucas to USC. Bouie to Georgia. Too bad, like LSUStephen, you never actually graduated from LSU. You might have actually learned to keep your mouth shut until you had the facts. Lol. No excuse now. You’ve been spanked.

All the cheating Kirby has done can’t buy all of them playing time. Only so many allowed on the field at once.

Remember the Justin Fields, Jake Fromm, Jacob Eason debacle. Kirby can buy them but can’t manage them.

I honestly miss Auburn being relevant in the fall. It was such a fun rivalry. Now it’s like playing Vanderbilt and that’s kind of sad…Auburn fans don’t even travel Athens anymore..

I mean it ain't like UGA just can't go and get top rated transfers themselves.

NGL Bear Alexander has a chance to be an impact DT. On the flip side, dude has a handler in the NIL era.

I need some help. Does anybody know who the following players are?

Brenan Thompson
Jaden Alexis
Trevell Johnson
Derrick Brown
Devin Richardson
Andrej Karic
Junior Angelou
Logan Parr

I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of their names.

ETA
NVM. I just saw those were the rats jumping off the Texas ship. Seems like we all have players leaving our teams. Seems odd that posters itt aren't bringing up their own rats.

Wait. Didn't they fall behind Stetson Bennett. Seems like he managed those pretty well. I guess the exception would have been Justin Fields. Remind us again what Fields won that Fromm did not?
