I consider myself a Falcons fan and watch most of the games, but all emotional connection to the outcome of the games died when we blew the 28-3 lead in the Super Bowl. Falcons blew it again today. They’ll probably blow it again the next time they have a big fourth quarter lead.
I texted my buddy earlier today that maybe it’s time for a total rebrand. Maybe they’ve ridden “Falcons” as long as they can, and it’s time to shake it off and start all over again.

I went to the Falcons/Lions game last year, and there really may have only been 20,000 people there. Some people really care, I’m sure, but I also have known people in this state who are HUGE football fans, know all about the sport, and probably could not name a single Falcons player or even the head coach.
Georgians (outside of the perimeter, anyway) don’t really care about professional sports, except the Braves.

Same. Super Bowl was great after Katrina but crying with my dad in the Dome in 03 was so sweeter. The other 2 were icing on the cake.

College football is king in the south my friend and Atlanta is filled with transplants.
