I think UGA fans were pretty happy with Richt in January 2005
If Kirby goes 23-17 in the SEC from 2021-2025 then he might start getting some grief, though.

Um - once again, he's shown he can win the big games, hoss. For people that can sure remember back to 1980 you'd think you could remember 2017 AND 2018.
Sure - we lost to Alabama both years, but there were some not so little games leading up to getting there.

One is about to have his 2nd losing season in 2 years, more than his predecessor had in 6, and the other is Jimbo.
Jimbo must have a much better record through 2 years then.

He certainly has a better home record, and against better competition.
Sumlin went 10-4 at home his first 2 years, including 3 games against FCS schools.
Fisher is 11-3.

This comparison is very irrelevant. Richt was very much considered a top coach after 4 years.
The Richt UGA fired was a much different coach. His Miami tenure makes that apparent.

Time for an extension, amiright? I mean, when wasn't he? Since 2013 Auburn averages 5 losses a year, and you are right on schedule for this year.
And yet....how do you spell extension? G-U-S!

You won the SEC Championship in 02 and finished 4th in the BCS, it’s pretty identical to Smart’s second year
You are assuming 2002 beats a strong team in the seccg and then wins a playoff game.
