Like JoLe said, East campus will be easier for you logistically, but to be honest, I don't think you'll like it as much.

Since you said you want to be in the thick of things I'd recommend Myers quad or North campus. If you have all of that equipment North campus may not be allowed, but Myers will be very much in the middle of things.

The logistics of getting it there will be more difficult, but you'll have more fun there IMO.

Okay, so lets say we wanted to setup at Meyers and got a few parking passes for the "Green Street" lots. Is there an loading/unloading zone by Meyers.

For instance, the major areas at Bama, Auburn, TAMU, etc. all allow for tailgaters to drop off.

Not sure of the exact procedure for "drop-offs" near Myers, but there are a number of small parking lots close to the quad that you could pull in and unload fairly quickly I'd imagine.

Also, the South campus parking deck is directly beside the quad (probably 30 yards from the grass). If you decide that is where you want to be I'd start looking into getting a pass to that deck. Honestly not sure of the best place to look into getting one of those.

We had a blast at North Campus in 2009.

Not looking to start shite, just have a good time. IMO, it's pointless to bring our setup all the way to Athens to just congregate in a parking lot full of LSU fans.

So you want it damaged by UGA students? Gotcha.

Why so hostile? FTR, UGA is the only place where we've had any equipment damaged.

Thanks. If there is a load/unload zone, we may try Meyers and pick up a few parking passes in a nearby lot. If not, might just setup in that triangle since most LSU fans will be coming from downtown too...

That lil' spot will be full by 7:00am... My spot is at the top of that hill at the BB&T Bank (Corner of Broad & N. Thomas) but it's season parking. The vast majority of LSU fans that tailgate near downtown will be parked N. of Broad in the lots on either side of N. Thomas at E. Hancock behind the big white Gov. Building on the left & the Classic Center on the right...

From your link just scroll N.... cross Broad St & look 2 blocks North of Broad on N. Thomas...

If this is how y'all actually left your campus you don't deserve to tailgate anywhere, period.

He was referring to UGA fans, and that was after Auburn I believe. Auburn 09 as what broke the camel's back and prevented us from hosting night games for a while.

Starting in 2010 they put hella restrictions in place, so the best and most awesome tailgate area on campus was reduced to an alcohol free family fun zone, like this

They've lightened up a bit, but it still sucks.

it was the party area for students, and a lot of their sidewalk friends who simply dont care. if you notice many of the trash cans are not even filled.

They have changed for the better and are improving, but really a lot of this really was the sidewalkers who's didnt really have any attachment with the campus after the game or before
