Sounds like Clemson AD wanted to move to neutral site, and UGA AD was not open to that.

Idk what happened, but if it’s this, I’m glad they canceled them.
The neutral site stuff just isn’t as interesting as the on campus games.

Both schools needed more opportunities for riveting matchups with Furman and Tennessee State.

I appreciate your honesty. Kirby has been taking the low road in scheduling lately. He didn't copy that one from Coach Saban.

We already play a P4 ACC team every year plus 9 friggin SEC games. What's the point in making our schedule even harder?

what happened was going to 9 conference games. When we only played 8 we had premiere OOC games lined up for a decade. Now there's simply no reason to play them anymore.

Since Kirby has bene here we have played UNC, Notre Dame, supposed to be virginia (covid), Clemson x2, and Oregon in early season games. Also since kirby has been here we had added OOC games with UCLA, OSU, FSU, and I'm sure several others.
It's not a coincidence that all these cancelations are happening now that we're playing 9 league games a year. This isn't rocket science.

He went South with his scheduling before the SEC went to 9 games. Oklahoma/Ball State comes to mind. I have no doubt that it was Georgia that made the call to Clemson.
What he needs to do is give up beating up GaTech every year and just play someone with an OOC pulse.

Alabama scheduled Mercer 3 times during the Saban years. Do you consider that taking the high road?

Georgia plays Georgia Tech every year. We don't need another cupcake ACC team on our schedule. We're not talking about 2016 Clemson anymore.
