3:30 is the sweet spot for kickoff.

Plenty of pre-game and can still get home to see the end of the night games.

Seems UGA does play a lot of road night games.

Do they have reservations for this dinner or is it a free for all? I would assume wait times can be lengthy. Back to the tailgate probably is the one that works best. Especially if someone is manning the area getting things ready for after party.

Downtown Athens has a bunch of bars and restaurants, all within walking distance of the stadium.

Quite a few folks go back to their tailgate spots and let the traffic rush get out of town.

Why do fans think LSU has more of an advantage at night when your traditions are day games.Maybe we’re at a disadvantage during the day.Nobody wants to play in TIGER STADIUM in late August early September ,believe me I’ve been there ,it’s brutal for everybody.

Nobody said it was an advantage. Just that the starting times should be evenly spread out amongst all teams.

Being young, drinking all day, acting a fool in the stadium. What’s not to like?

3:30 slot is perfect.

We don't need weird voodoo bs to win games.

If you have kids then it's your own fault for whatever activities they have on Saturdays. Also, they should be your main concern anyway, not college football, Grow up and be an adult. You bred 'em. you raise 'em and just put off enjoying life until they are in jail or settled into their own trailer parks with their own kids.

LSU fans think they're entitled to more night games than anyone else.

This is true. And the reason that it's true is because we are entitled to them, and have been since October 3, 1931.

I don't know if it is actually true or not but it seems like when I was a kid and even a young man LSU played more night games than just about anyone. I know we used to listen to a lot of LSU games at night on the radio in Georgia while fishing or camping. UGA did not have lights at Sanford Stadium until the early 80s because playing at night was not done at UGA. I cam vividly remember listening to LSU games while crappie fishing at night in North Georgia when I was a kid...more than once. It seems like it was pretty common.

It also seems like Kentucky played a lot of night games.

Boring football is often good football because there is less drama....murderball is boring indeed but when it is done right it is beautiful.

I mean they suck and schools should cherish the 2:30 slot.

230/330 is the best slot - folks have shite to do in the morning and have some downtime before their shite in the evening starts. Night games make for a good atmosphere but it is also a lot of work afterwards packing up the tailgate and heading home.

Same. The demand to play a night game is completely lost on me. Waiting all damn day is just bullshite.

I think it is especially hard on the home team. The crowd gets into it but if you're on the road you're on the road....holding meetings all day in a hotel with the team kind of under lock and key is probably slightly advantageous than players dealing with girlfriends and the like while in town.

It is because the home team at night has a huge advantage compared to day games. It is in the numbers. Since 2024:

SEC teams in night conference games are 39-24 with a 62% win percentage.

SEC home teams overall are 91-74 with a 55.4% win percentage.
