No. They lost their bowl game in 2010 and finished 6-7. I think they've only finished unranked three times in the last 14 years.

Huh? LSU won the conference that sent the most teams to bowl games and the conference that had the most eventual bowl wins at 7-2. Also, they won the SEC Championship with their backup QB starting due to an injury (we also lost Glenn Dorsey, our best defensive player for that game). All the other good teams with decent schedules had 2 losses without the resume LSU had. LSU had five wins over teams in the top 15 of the final poll and even Kentucky won a bowl game that year.
