Kirby did it in 2021. Florida was in a down year. He had a bye week before Florida then played us. Kirby used those three week to prepare for us and overlooked UF. He nearly lost to Florida because of it. In the post game interview he let it slip they had been practicing for us for 3 weeks. It’s smart (pun intended). I have a feeling he’s been holding back to not show his hand. We’ll find out quickly on Saturday if that’s the case.

This didn’t happen, but if it did, it requires proof.

Our QB scares us. Horizontal pass game doesn’t really test secondary.
I’ve seen Georgia do this number too many times to take too much confidence from it. I do think our front 7 is very good though

Did our downfield passing ever look as anemic as it has this season?

“We’ve worked really hard for the past three to four weeks — we’ve taken periods and worked really hard anticipating this coming, kind of like you do when you have a triple option,” Smart said. “So, we work periods into practice to work on our substitution patterns so that we can sub our players.”

I think in the early part of the 2021 as well as parts of 2019. A big mitigating factor is that I’m sure Georgia is holding things back for this game. I have hard time believing y’all won’t have a competent passing game. Also the weird nature of the rain delay probably made y’all just want to wrap things up without injury. We can win but I’ve got too much respect for Kirby to feel overly confident. Crowd should be a factor, this UT’s last hurdle to establishing itself as a great SEC power again

Notice the part about the triple option. We had "periods of practice" on that every week, too. That's not sandbagging, and in this case, it was simply about moving in subs quickly, which is useful in any game.

All successful coaches work on unique offenses in this manner. Kirby does it every season. How exactly is this noteworthy? It's not.

It was the explicit game plan from the start, regardless of rain.

My guess would be it’s to limit what UT is able to prepare for. I hope I’m wrong and Georgia’s got problems but I doubt it

If you look at their schedule, this is a game they can’t afford to lose and the easiest to prep for.

Those Ga teams seem to wake up and play great against us.
They just aren’t into playing FCS schools
Ga will show up unfortunately for us.

The line is not respect or disrespect for either team. It's to even out the money bet on both. Obviously too much money would go on UGA with a more even line. So I guess bettors are showing disrespect for the Vols.

Most bettors think most lines are legit and not disrespectful to a team- in this case TN.

Yeah that Alabama game is looming large. Will you finally beat them after 18 years of regular season pain?

The line just moved up to -3.5 pts for UGA. What does Vegas know? That the Vols are much better than anyone thinks ofcourse.
