Strickland already commented on the need to wear the brand. UF may wear all blue or all orange uniforms Saturday night but with traditional orange helmets. This black uniform is fake news.

Looks like pure sewer garbage. So, in an odd way it actually fits being for Florida.
I'll say this, and I've said it before: If you need some type of alternate uniform to pump up your players then you're doing something wrong. IF you you need an alternate uniform to pump up and motivate your players for an SEC game, then you've failed as a coach.

It's always funny to me that people will see a thread with 5+ pages, so clearly there has been a lot discussed on the topic, read the OP and then comment/skip straight to the end.
