I don't think "kids are stupid" really flies here, in today's day and age of groupie college athletics.
I'm guessing this stems from a victory party, Saturday night. I don't think something that happened months ago would rear it's head at this precise moment.

Looking at that IMG file with that clip, looks like it happened late saturday night (tho technically sunday morning between say 2 and 3 am) but intake looks like it hit the system this am, that might account for why the timing seems odd. There is a full day between incident and formal report, which happened this morning.
