Also I am a little curious why people in this league only want to add teams that are really good at sports. I can be objective and say that Clemson is pretty damn solid all around.

but if youre say SC or Ole Miss,State, etc...it becomes so much tougher to win. Even the Bama's and UGA's are more likely to catch L's. This isnt a video game where you win anyways.

Because we're tired of adding teams like South Carolina, Arkansas, Missouri and Texas A&M.

We like competitive games on Saturdays.

Vandy, Miss St, and Kentucky have historically been worse than the expansion teams. I'm sure you're cool dropping them.

Not only is that not an option, but that's not even what we're discussing.

I cannot imagine UGA wanting Ga Tech back in the league.

I cannot imagine UK wanting Louisville in the league.

Why is this all about SC and UF not wanting two of the most corrupt programs in NCAA history in the league?

What does that have to do with adding more competitive teams?

There’s zero reason to throw FSU a lifeline. Zero upside for Florida to make a rival stronger by making them part of this conference. And they’ll recruit even more against us if they have the SEC tag.

frick em. Plus, you guys think LSU fans are bad? Never seen the lower Alabama inbreed rednecks that support FSU.

No it is understandable. So many people on the rant constantly say that UF, SC, UGA, and Kentucky are blocking their in state brethren from joining that it is kind of what everyone thinks. I think if you took a vote UF fans would keep them out, to keep them broke. But they always come up with the money to stay competitive either by skirting the rules to get state money or tapping into money that is really earmarked for something besides athletics.

They tried to do this a couple of years ago.

I have always wanted them in, so they have to play the same teams we have to play and not the ACC schedule.

It is always something with them. They have been corrupt forever and always seem to skate somehow like the fricking Clintons.

Because they are big football brands. I'm not saying the SEC will or should invite them to join, but if the conference expands again they will be part of the discussion. GT and Louisville not so much.

Personally, I don't really give a frick. They're not getting rid of LSU any time soon.

But the question I addressed was "why people in this league only want to add teams that are really good at sports."

LINK

The answer is because we've already picked up enough non-competitive programs, so it's time to get some that are more competitive. This isn't about getting rid of anyone.

Why is this so hard to understand?

I didn't give a shite about the rest of your post. I'm fine with clemson joining. I only addressed what I cared to address.

This is best explanation I've seen. Frick them. We already play them anyway, so why give them any benefits that come with being in the SEC?

Me too. I just wish we had gotten them back in '92 instead of South Carolina.

That’s fine. We don’t always get what we want.
