I would bet money that most of them are ecstatic since they have only made 8 NCAA tournament appearances in their history.
And I would bet that number doubles in the next 10 years.
uhhh, i would not make that bet
but I'm pretty pleased you think that's a possibility

If you are using LSU basketball as any sort of measuring stick then your expectations are really low

he is great, glad to have him...

I thought Pearl would be a big success by now and it simply hasn't happened. I certainly would give him through next year though to see if things really get turned around. Martin took 4 years to get USCe relevant again and it appears 5 years into the NCAAT (no jinx?). Interestingly enough, Auburn plays USCe tonight...
In basketball you just expect a faster turnaround with how 1 or 2 players can really carry a team.

I think we could make 8 out of the next 10.

Things are already turned around. People do not know how far he has taken this program already.

AU was the worse program, playing in the worse arena in the SEC.
Was it worse than the Tad Pad? Our neoprine roof leaked on the floor when it rained and it had worse lighting than my son's elementary school gym.

If he can get Auburn in the same spot he had Tennessee while he was there, it is possible. Still hard to do even for really good coaches.

Right? I tried to tell these idiots that we should have kept tony barbe, but no one listened. Now barbe has an excellent record and headed to another final 4, while AU is stuck with pearl.

Kind of like how #1 NBA draft pick Ben Simmons and Quarterman did for LSU, amirite?

Tile ceilings and wood back seats.

Shoulda been 4.
But AU fans know their position in the wide world of CBB and they know Pearl was a good get. They'll give him patience in the same manner we gave Martin (and Spurrier in football)
