MSU up 7-0 on Southern Miss in the bottom of the 3rd. Freshman Jacob Parker is really starting to show his stuff.

I'm not new to baseball by a long shot, and things better change for lsu damn fast.
LSU has played a potential cellar dweller and a semi-legit OU. Looking at LSU schedule, I see only 2 series they have realistic chance to win. SC and aggy. Aggy is smacking the ball around and that series is really a toss up.
Otherwise Pitching staff is giving up 6.5 EARNED RUNS per game and your defensive fielding % is in 14th place. Giving up 1.5 errors per game will kill you against the strong teams. I'd be willing to guess you'll end up with a 6.00 era or higher by end of season.
Edit... above was based on conference stats. I looked at LSU's overall stats based on 25 games played which is getting close to halfway point.

Yup, LSU will give up 8 runs/game in SEC play. Something is messed up with your team this year.
If you don't golf, you may think about taking it up this year.

State may be for real. If they beat USM tonight that will knot the season series up. So far Mississippi State’s four losses are to #1 UCLA, #5 Arkansas x 2, and #11 Southern Miss. Three of those were by 1 run.
