Lipscomb's pitching has fallen apart.

UNC was the #1 team in 2013 with 59 wins, knocked LSU out of Omaha and still lost.

In the actual polls entering the tournament, LSU and Vandy were 1/2. They met in the SECT title game with Vandy as 1 and LSU 2. LSU jumped them in at least one poll after that game but Vandy was 1 for most of the season after going 26-3 in the SEC. Nonetheless, I’m just saying the SEC has choked plenty in Omaha. They’ve just won a lot too. But they’ve been a deeper league the last 25 years and have had more opportunities

Heels were #1 national seed though because the ACC was stacked that year. Virginia and FSU were also national seeds.

I'd agree that the SEC has been better most years over the past 25 years, but some years like 2006 and yes, 2013 the ACC was better top to bottom.

They had paired regions in 2011 or 2012 but UConn bounced Clemson so they came to Columbia instead of the Tigers.
CU was placed in our Columbia regional in 2013. so was Liberty and Storm Toman - who had let's just say - "less patience" - for Jacklegg's ridiculous theater on a baseball diamond more than anyone on Ray's staff over the years.

Liberty beat Jacklegg twice so USC/CU never had to play. Toman was awesome that weekend. the Liberty fans we met/tailgated with were awestruck at how many Gamecock fans were in the ballpark for the LU/CU games - in many instances more vocal than the LU fans.

Kingston stayed with Denny at leadoff today. thought maybe Hornung would get a chance there again before Athens. this team's won 17 of 18 played this year with not much production from the leadoff spot.

Hornung's hit leadoff 8 times so far including the first 7 games this year. Denny had his 6th straight time today. Hornung now has 15 bb 10 k's while Denny 11 bb 21 K's this year.

Kingston has it in his head that Denny has the intangibles to be the leadoff.

GT looks good, Auburn not so much. Make it 7-0 T3. GT has six doubles this inning.

Bianco left our pitcher in about 4 batters too long. Jax State ties it up 3-3 with bases loaded and no outs. Could get ugly here.

I guess there was wind before our game and the camera is about 10 degrees out of level. This is bothering more than it should.

Up 5-0 T3
