In auburn's case it will probably take 3 years to get one singular full class of Harsin players though

4D chess. You can't have your players on the field if you don't recruit

I dont even understand how the guy managed to get hired. He was fighting a losing battle from the beginning. Do yall not have a twitter lynch mob to cancel these hires and fire the AD when these kind of things happen?

Harsin's lack of recruiting is baffling to me.

Is this really a Harsin thing, or is there something behind the scenes that's affecting his ability to recruit?

I realize it's a totally different animal, but how well did he do it at Boise?

I’ve wondered if the people that don’t want him are so twisted that they would actively undermine his recruiting ($$$$) just to get rid of him.

Me too.

As much as I'd like to throw shade, I just can't believe a coach at an SEC program would be that flippant about such an obviously major component (without something else going on).

He was told Auburn recruited itself…kids would come there without him doing a thing. He took them at their word. Obviously Auburn isn’t the big deal a few thought it was.

No he wasn't. That was never the case and nobody told him that.

I don't think that is unreasonable. Every fan on here has made the claim that their favorite program should give their coach at least 3-4 years to get their players on the field and their culture installed.

I get that people are having fun with Auburn, but crap.

I think they should listen to his Senatorship.

give him a 10 year contract and a blank championship plaque. That always works!

Not with the portal. Year 2 you should see serious signs of progress.

Bert sold us in needing 5 years to establish a red shirt program and build depth. It was bullshite then and even more so now.

Coaches don't want to come to Auburn and neither do players.

Somebody has to get out there and sell the AU. Harsin is obviously not going to do it.

Time to bring in Prime.

Good question - NIL money could be withheld until he’s gone. That would undermine recruiting

If I were him, I'd have been really tempted to tank and get fired as soon as possible - given that coup attempt. He's been a dead man walking for months.

If Harsin gets 3 classes Auburn will basically have a sanctions roster.

No one but a huge proven name could prosper in the current environment at Auburn
