I got the belt from both parents but I am the really old generation where beating your kids was not only legit be expected.
Upside is everybody had a decent bar on the street and every night it was cocktails somewhere on the street. Not a real shocker Prohibition was such a failure.

My dad never had to lay a hand on me cause my mom was effective enough. Only got spanked a handful of times, usually for something egregious like lying, and I never made that same mistake twice.

Tua seems like a pretty good kid, unlike most of the spoiled, whiny bitches this country is churning out by the million. So maybe the old ways really are the best ways.

It didn't seem that nutty until he said that going 14/15 with 4TDs but 1 INT was worth getting the belt.

I won't get into the merits of spanking because that's not what this thread is about. His dad said he whipped him for having a bad game. That seems a little over the top to me. Maybe by "bad game" he meant one where Tua spent the previous night with hookers and booze, but that's not what he said. If he got whipped for making mistakes while trying his best, eh, that's a little crazy.
