Yes. The backup damn near brought them back. Texas was an onside kick away from winning iirc. They win with Colt.

Show of hands from anyone surprised at Willie cucking to Texas?

Anyone?

I disagree.

Doesn't really matter, does it? My last memory of that game is Colt slumped on the bench and each time the cameras would pan it, which was often, you could see that was the last he wanted of the Crimson Tide.

That 2009 defense was noted for making your azz quit.

This was a major mistake to be sure. Even before the game started, I remember mentioning to a friend wouldn't it really suck if Tua went down or was ineffective and Hurts came in and beat us? Honestly, I never thought in a million years that could happen but there it was. It damn sure did.

I thought it was going to be a good tight game (with Bama winning of course) but you could see quit on his face when he ran off the field.

Bill how long did it take you to earn your bachelor’s , master’s, PhD, MBA, JD and MD from Alabama? How do you find the time to post in every thread concerning Alabama? Don’t be so negative, Alabama will bounce back one day.

Not as bad as your next decade's going to be.

Alabama was straight up pathetic in that game on the rewatch. Nick Saban called a fake punt 2 minutes in the game because he was so scared of falling behind us. One of the worst QBs in our history kept up with them until 6 mins left in the 4th.

Colt would have dropped 50 on em.

Hard to know. It certainly looked like Texas would beat them the way the game started. They were moving the ball with ease and scoring fast, but Colt got hurt early... Plus, BAMA had no answer at all for Shipley that entire game, and he was Colt's favorite target...And, McElroy wasn't doing crap in the passing game. Texas could have had them down by 3 scores fast the way there offense was moving with Colt.

I actually thought Nebraska's Defense was much tougher than BAMA's defense that year, and Texas beat them barely...That was before Saban really got rolling at BAMA with his own recruits...

Ou beats Texas if Bradford doesn’t get hurt thus preventing Texas from playing in the national championship, correct?

Oh yeah this one is always funny too when I see Bammers talk. Suh had the greatest defensive season in college history and ragdolled the shite out of Colt but according to Bama Colt only broke because he had an SEC defender touching him.

This one is fine because we take their place in 08 and win that one instead.

Suh was a beast in college, and I guarantee there was nobody better on the DLine in any conference that season. 2 Olinemen and a Running back on him nonstop couldn't slow him down. Holding him couldn't slow him down and the Texas line did a lot of holding in that game..

Texas relied too heavily on the QB to run the ball at that time. When it worked, it was awesome and almost unstoppable...Problem is they didn't develop a running game with the actual Running Back and Mack never developed backup QBs. He just got lucky Colt was a coaches son and was already college ready when VY left..
