The playing every team at least every other year should solve the SEC schedule disparity some.

I'll be surprised if it makes much difference. Overall the SEC teams schedule should be even more difficult, of which is the opposite of what is needed.

But last year Texas had an extremely easy SEC schedule. This year they have one of the more difficult ones, even though they are playing the same teams they played last year.

This year A&M/Vandy/Ole miss have the weakest schedules even though they also played the same teams as last year and had respectable schedules.

It's just too many teams. Conference either needs to split in 2, or we need to drop a bunch of teams and I'd prefer not to get rid of SEC originals.

I have a feeling ultimately the conferences are going to have to realign again.

Won 18 out last 21.

One of those 3 losses avenged weeks later in SECCG. Another was prayer at J-H. Can’t even remember the 3rd.

If you guys think the history of college football is legit then please explain why every other sport has a playoff in the world? Why play the Masters? Just crown the #1 ranked player the champ. Why have a Super Bowl? Just let a computer rank them.

The lie many of you tell yourselves is that the regular “makes it clear who the top 2-4 teams are”. That’s simply a lie and is a purposeful lie by the big programs to keep their kingdom intact. BYU went undefeated as did UCF and none of you went to bat for them. Instead you locked them. You guys are now sowing what your ridiculousness has reaped. You will now be forced to take part of a real playoff system instead of just being handed titles. And most of you can’t handle that because you know deep down your teams aren’t invincible. If they wet you wouldn’t complain and look foreword to whipping everyone.

2025 Ohio State will go down in history as the greatest of all time!

The fear is palpable.

Because every sport is different. Maybe the NFL should copy NCAA Basketball and all the NFL teams make the playoffs. I mean, just because other sorts do something, doesn't mean it is the correct thing for all sports. Most, if not all the sports have a different number of teams that make the playoffs.

There is no playoff in tennis or Nascar. Why? because they are unique in their own way.

And I can promise you that WAY more often than not Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan will win it with the occasional outsider like an FSU, Clemson, or somebody. The #16th ranked team in the country will never win a National Championship, and i will just about guarantee thatthe #7-10 will not win it.

Go back and look at the first round of the playoffs and tell me that you want more of that.

I will say this...once the playoff bracket is made public, we can all give you a top 6 teams, and one of those 6 will win the championship. (Most could pare that down to 4 teams)

It's a little more restrictive than you make it out, because 5 spots are guaranteed.

You're really saying if you can't win your conference or be one of the top 6 teams that don't win their conference...

Dawg, I hear you but in no way can you say only 1 of 6 teams would win, The history of the sport has jaded your view. Those schools claim all those titles because they were the only ones given a chance and then invited to the BCS or 4 team playoff. You can keep believing the myth that only a handful of teams will ever win a playoff and I’ll be here laughing when it doesn’t happen like that although I agree the next decade or so it will be that way until others get their NIL going.

You guys still haven’t grasped the full impact of NIL and the portal. There are a lot of rich schools out there well beyond State U and as schools figure out over the next ten years this new system you are going to be shocked at who emerges. And then add in injuries which will 100% happen in expanded playoffs. We are only in year 2 or 3 of NIL and we already have freaking Indiana ranked #2, Vandy in the top quarter of the SEC, and GT with one loss. If that hasn’t made you stop and think then I don’t know what will. Imagine what it will look like in a decade. You UGA folks should enjoy the present with Kirby and beg him to stay forever because without him you guys could easily be Florida as the minute he announces his retirement your players will be bought and the recruiting will step back.

Yes, they did. And there will always be an anomaly. But ND was ranked #5 going into the playoffs, were they not? It's not like they were the #12 team.

Do you find it some how inconceivable that a #5 ranked team could beat a #2 ranked team?
