There is a 10% chance Venables remains at OU for 5 years

Venables is going through a cancer scare with his wife.
Maybe we lay off BV for a bit.
We are talking about LSU fans!
So let me guess... Mizzou fans do background checkes and search the WWW before posting on or starting a thread on a topic? STFU!

True or False Brian Kelly is the goat?

You can't be in the SEC and dress as hideous as that. We're more stylish than that.

True but one or both will be fired by 2026.

Sorry to hear that, but this thread is still relevant. If last year happens again there is a good chance he isnt coaching at OU

Sark will be here when we enter SEC but I don't think he'll last long. We'll be looking for a new coach by year 3 in the SEC.

Who are you to sit and judge all LSU fans on one post. Don’t sit here and act innocent like Missouri doesn’t have garbage fans themselves, get off the cross.

True. I think changing conferences secures their first year in the SEC no matter how 2023 goes. It would be hard to land an upgrade when part of the job is adjusting to new conference road games, setting up relationships w high school coaches, installing new systems, etc. I think they know if they change coaches going into a new conference that their best players will transfer. Better to keep some stability amongst all the other change.

True. For sure BV - he's going through a ground-up rebuild much like Sark had to starting in the 2021 season, resulting in overhauling over half of the roster.
Sark would have to have a monumental collapse, like missing out on a bowl game entirely, to be fired. If he loses 4 or 5 games again, 2024 will be much like Butch Jones in 2017: marching toward the inevitable after a massively disappointing year prior.

quote:Not sure if that is just some bad syntax or you are under the impression that Stoops is the AD (Joe Castiglione is the AD, and has been since 1998).
It is ridiculous to think that they would let him go given his relationship with AD, Bob Stoops, and the ties he built in his 13 year stint at OU previously.
At any rate, I'll go with true. Too soon to pull the trigger on Venables, and outside of Bama, Texas has a pretty easy schedule.

Heupel is not going to Oklahoma. That bridge has been burned along time ago. If anything Heupel will try and run the score up on them.
This is way overplayed, there was not that much bad blood and time heals, he has said as much, if the offer is there he will take it, deep down Tennessee knows this. You should pray BV does well.
