At Bama we don't need towel wavers. We just need our players have motivation beat into them till they can't move and are crying for more.

No.

I've spent a lot of my life distancing myself from that kind of behavior / demeanor. I find it painful and makes me sad.

And if you've never heard of Frank Wilson, that's the point.

Frank Wilsons' connections begin and end in south Louisiana where LSU almost never loses recruits from, anyway.

Nothing against TT, but I don't see him as a great WR coach. Great motivator, but that's where it ends...

I highly disagree

Our WR's were NOTHING when he came in and completely turned them around. Turned Kodi into a serviceable WO and our best blocking WR. Emory Blake has emerged as an excellent route runner. Drops used to be the name of the game for Auburn wide outs and now they're very uncommon. I'm more than happy with him at WR coach.

I said not great, he could very well be good, not good enough for a bidding war though.

He's better than Greg Knox, that's all that matters...

Maybe Tulane will take him back and he can go back bringing in studs the likes of Roydell Williams.

Not only no, but hell no. I wouldn't want that goofy arse dude anywhere near the sideline at U of A. The first time he started jumping around, chest bumping players and waving that towel, Petrino would be down there dragging his arse off the field.

I think that his coaching works at Auburn, but would not elsewhere. He just looks like he trys to be too much of a buddy to the players, and that would make it hard to disclipine them. Remember how the player thought he was giving him a high five for a dirty hit, is that what he encourages? He's a little old for the hat turned around and the towel waving business. I can see that with a graduate assistant, but not a coach in his position. Does he want to be a head coach? I can't see anyone else hiring him in that position with his hat turned around and that damn towel. If Auburn is happy with him and he's happy there, enough said, but I don't think that anyone else wants him.

How did this fail? This was shown on National TV.
He wasn't trying to give a high five, but the player thought he was, and even the announcers acknowledged it. Say what you want, but watch the tape of the Georgia game.
